cotton field

Texas leads the U.S. in cotton production and it is our leading cash crop, ranking only behind the beef and nursery industries in total cash receipts. In 2000, growers produced over 4 million bales, representing over $1 billion to the Texas cotton industry. Texas annually produces about 25% of the entire U.S. crop and plants over 6 million acres! That’s over 9,000 square miles of cotton fields.

Not so much a crop as a reorientation. Stitched two shots together to get more in the photo and move the tree out of the center of the original photo to get more into the rule of thirds.

This farm in up for sale. Last year, it was a corn field (see photo below); this year it is a weed field. The white flowers are dandelions gone to seed. The yellow is another spring weed, but I don't know what it is called.

Another bit of mid-Wales. Here they grow timber. Harvest was around 2 years ago, and the new crop can be seen growing on the hillsides. It'll be ready in about another 50 years or so. This place always leaves you wondering about what's around the next bend. You don't get the traditional landscaper's low light, as the hills and valleys are quite close in, but if you get some co-operative moving clouds, the patches of light can look quite spectacular as they move across the landscape.

Crop Duster Crop Dusting a field at Sisloff Junction, Ms. I spotted this crop duster while visiting the CN Yazoo Sub in Mississippi & since it was so close I decided to get some shots of it, this killed the boredom of when there wasn't a train running

Ma perché no ? :-) ogni tanto un "crop" ci sta bene, specialmente quando la Risoluzione offerta dal Micro Nikkor 85mm. ED IF VR IIsi rivela a dire poco *pazzesca* .
