On Friday 8th July 2022, we held a graduation ceremony for 169 students from the MSc in Marketing & Creativity (MMK) Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 at the magnificent Théâtre des Folies Bergères in Paris.
We were very proud and happy to see our three MMK cohorts getting together and celebrating their achievements under the one roof!
We extend our warm congratulations to all graduates and wish you all a tremendous success in your future endeavours!
This winged or wide-petaled sculpture was built around the same two-legged steel armature that other Mosaic Madness participants turned into birds, people, houses, flowers. Creativity at work!
The San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) Galleries, in partnership with Art With Elders presents The Power of Creativity and Community, an exhibition showcasing over 90 original paintings and drawings made by seniors participating in the Art With Elders program from forty programming sites and community partners located throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.
Art With Elders was founded in 1991 and has brought creativity and connection to 12,000 older adults in 75 senior communities across the Bay Area through free or low-cost art classes. Weekly art classes are at the core of AWE work, providing the opportunity to elder to flex latent artistic talents and to connect with other members of the community. AWE also organizes exhibitions that take place all around the Bay Area, to showcase the extraordinary work by these elder artists.
The exhibition is organized in four groups: artworks selected for the AWE 30th Annual Exhibit and AWE Over the Years: Works from the AWE Archive, as well as artworks created by artists participating in the AWE Senior Bridge Project: Mental Health and Social Connection and in classes at Laguna Honda Hospital. The Power of Creativity and Community celebrates the many artists who have participated in the program by sharing their incredible artwork and their creative voice. Each work is accompanied with a portrait of the artist and information about their life and practice.

My cousin sent me a set of propelling crayons for Christmas/ birthday so I just had to try them out!
Colouring in brought back childhood memories so I added the red bird on the fence (I used to sing a song "Little Red Bird" while my father played the guitar when I was young).
Now I have the urge to go play with paper dolls!
Synthesis of Creativity, Innovation and Change - This collage is my response to the final exercise in #CICmooc. It is an overview of the concepts of the Coursera course.
Jimmy's poem entitled faces was the winning entry in the 50th Anniversary Student Creativity Contest in the written category.
In Jimmy's words: "My poem “faces” is inspired by Willie Seo and Shea Hermanson’s “100 Physiognomical faces”, the art piece installed in the Wilma Thomas building on the Lansdowne campus. There was a day when I tried finding a seat in the library to study, but I couldn’t find an open space. I decided to venture over to the Wilma Thomas building. I headed upstairs and saw this huge installation of faces hanging on light gray panels.
After staring at it long enough the faces seem to ever so slightly change. Honestly, at first, it gave me a sombre gloomy feeling. The heebie-jeebies. So many gray faces staring back at me with blank expressionless eyes. I came back to study in the same spot, across from the art installation the next day not even bothering with the library. Maybe it was because the weather was blue and sunny, or the fair amount of coffee I consumed, but this time the faces looked a little more optimistic, their eyes seem to hold a tiny bit of life. That’s when I created the poem. It opens with a question.
At first, I acknowledged how lost I felt and expressed how past feelings were holding me back. As the poem progresses, it takes a more positive outlook on how to deal with the past and ultimately appreciate it. It concludes by telling myself to be more proud and hopeful for the future."

The video series on creative failure continues with a name that is synonymous with getting to the root of why you might fail and what you can do to fix that - Merlin Mann.
Merlin and I sat down for a Skype call one Saturday afternoon and covered a lot of territory, from creative failure to creative modality and how being in the wrong mode at the wrong time might bring on failure. From there we just kind of spitballed. You’ll have to dive in to see what happens.
At 35 minutes, this installment is best digested when you can spend some quality time with the conversation, but I assure you it’s well worth it.

30 Days of Creativity - Day 2: Through the viewfinder
As we've slowly watched our camera collection grow throughout the years, so has our collection of cameras that have a waist-level viewfinder. These finders are great for focusing and can be a lot of fun when you use other cameras to capture the image through the finder. Our example today is an image shot from our Olympus E-510 through the Kiev 6C finder. Neat result, right? Yeah, we thought so too. [You'll have to visit again sometime soon to see the actual images shot from the Kiev. We can't turn around medium format film as fast as digital files. :))]
Using natural materials, Minou creates an interactive experience for children. In this year's installation, They Sailed Away for a Year and a Day, Edward Lear's, The Owl and the Pussy Cat comes to life. Children are invited to participate by climbing aboard the pea green boat or strumming a musical instrument. Featuring the Owl and the Pussy Cat song by The Neo.

Creativity + Conflict Resolution: A Leadership Development Workshop with Guila Clara Kessous. At the Boston University Castle. Thursday, April 28, 2016.
This is my 2nd project for my creativity definition. This is the first time in a long time (decades?) that I used something other than my camera & photoshop to create "art"....it was fun! I used the cheap watercolor set & brushes that Kal suggested & painted it on kraft paper. I'll display it next to my computer as a reminder that's it's ok to "get my hands dirty" every now & then.
Limassol street life festival
The festival that has been warmly embraced by the people, is organized once again, to bring colors, creativity and liveliness in the city center.
Street Life Festival returns all fresh and full of surprises for the 11th year at the historical city center. Even larger and and more versatile, it will host the first 3D graffiti on the ground, while 2 different music stages will entertain the people at Saripolou Square and the University Square, with a special area dedicated to inflatable games for both kids and adults.
Many more activities for any taste and any age will be happening all day long in the streets, with a flea market all set up, dancing, bike and skateboard shows, amazing graffiti creations along Athinon Street and many more.
