I shot this photo at Sunset Beach, on December 31, 2000 about an hour before midnight. I shot it with my Smena Symbol and a cheap flash with 3200 film.
It's just been published in the book "Creative Vision: Digital & Traditional Methods for Inspiring Innovative Photography." You can purchase a copy here.
Terminal Tower rises like a beacon between two shadowed buildings, caught at just the right angle. A moody take on a Cleveland landmark.
A powerful statue of a cloaked figure sitting cross-legged, holding a bowl. It whispers of homelessness, invisibility, and quiet strength.
I crave for everyday and ordinary scenes like this...because they have a lot of story to tell. I love telling stories. I am a frustrated novelist.
Daydream delusion
Limousine eyelash
Oh, baby, with your pretty face
Drop a tear in my wine glass
Look at those big eyes
See what you mean to me
Sweet cakes and milkshakes
I am a delusion angel
I’m a fantasy parade
I want you to know what I think
Don’t want you to guess anymore
You have no idea where I came from
We have no idea where we’re going
Lodged in life, like branches in the river
Flowing downstream, caught in the current
I carry you, you’ll carry me
That’s how it could be
Don’t you know me?
Don’t you know me by now?
