“The more you drift the more you will learn. What you learn affects the kind of person you end up turning into.” - Chang Ta-chun
This winter seems like we are drifting in time as we watch the progression in this pandemic. But I am learning new things and I feel I am becoming a more curious person.
This is another composite using a wood grain image I took and blending other images I had in my files. Happy Sliders Sunday.
In these times, it is comforting to have someone to go through it all together. Yesterday we weathered a different storm as we braced ourselves with a tornado warning. It touched down just about 15 km south of us. You just never know what each day will bring. There were no reports of anyone getting hurt but there was damage to homes.
Ain't the sun shines anymore, eat Persimmon's.
They are having the sun inside! Right?

At this time of transition, it seems the seasons merge together, faded fall colours, a dumping of snow and a little festive decor.

Winter wonderlands lend themselves to a bit of a fantasy and over the top editing. Enjoy the season.

"Don't change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love you." - lessonslearnedinlife.com
This little Osteospermum in my garden was begging for attention. I love the quirky way it is opening up itself to the world. Be yourself! Happy Sliders Sunday.
With June being Pride month and the recent news of the children’s remains found at a Canadian residential school, there is no better time than now to embrace all kinds of differences in our world. Why do we need to change people? We need to learn to live with our differences respectfully. I chose a few of the remaining tulips in my garden to create this Still Life for Sliders Sunday. Embrace differences! It makes our world more colourful!
I am trying to create that feeling of being worn and tired as the pandemic appears to spiral out of control, but admist it all blooms spring and the promise of better days ahead.
Happy Sliders Sunday!

"Take everything as it comes; the wave passes, deal with the next one." - Tom Thomson
These past few weeks I have been away spending precious time with family and doing more camping before the next wave of this pandemic resurges. It's been wonderful and I will catch up with Flickr friends soon. Meanwhile, here's another creation blending an image of mine with a wood pattern design for Slider Sunday.
In 1970, there were less than 10 breeding pairs of Bald Eagles in Ontario. They were a species at risk due to heavy pesticide use after WW11. Now there are an estimated 1400 pairs in our province. We see them frequently on our hikes and even flying over our home. It is a great success story for them.
This week there was an eagle circling above us for a few minutes, obviously on the hunt. I captured him in flight and made this composite for Sliders Sunday. I used a wood grain pattern image from my collection to give some texture in the background.
The season has begun and the small fishing boats are dwarfed by the large ships still docked in our harbour for the winter.

What a hardy bloom! I have been watching this Magnolia Tree ready to bloom for a month now. Yet each time the buds start to show a bit of color, the snow and frost come. Finally, it is warming up a bit and the blooms are out.
One of my favourites .... and what could be more enjoyable than a bike trail lined with lilacs
Happy Sliders Sunday!

2 Corinthians 4:17 “For this our light and transitory burden of suffering is achieving for us a preponderating, yes, a vastly preponderating, and eternal weight of glory.”
This is the last of these ones...
