This is a picture of me jumping over the edge of the highest dune in Europe: The "Dune du Pilat", in Arcachon, France.
One of the perks of starting an organization on campus is that you start getting free stuff for it. In the case of Free Culture, Creative Commons sent me a whole bag full of buttons to promote their license along with handouts about the license and stickers. I decided I needed to put these buttons to good use while promoting CC at the same time. Enter the Creative Commons Backpack.

LOS ANGELES - VALOR, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation's annual awards ceremony to honor outstanding service above and beyond the call of duty, was held December 6, 2022 at Dodger Stadium.
Civic and community leaders from across the southland were were joined at VALOR 2022 by Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley in honoring five LAFD members who earned the Medal of Valor, Medal of Merit, Letters of Special Commendation and other departmental recognition.
VALOR 2022 also honored those who have stood steadfastly alongside the Department in supporting key programs and initiatives that have greatly strengthened our community.
