I suspect that this small country store was formerly the Hendley post office, yet I am not sure.
Hendley is a small community located in southern Furnas County west of Beaver City. Its post office was discontinued in 1986.

Thomas Lowry Home:
An old beauty siting along the Macleod-Benton Trail near Immigration Gap. My guess is this house probably housed quite a few settlers in it's day..
This info was taken from a historical marker about 1km south of this home..
At this site the first company of Latter-day Saint Settlers entered Canada on June 1, 1887. They paused here where a stone cairn marked the international boundary. In a driving rain, each member of the group of eight families added to the rock pile, and they gave three cheers for their new home and religious freedom.
In the United States there was at the time anti-Mormon activity such that some members of the Church felt themselves to be in danger. On the advice of Church leaders in Salt Lake City, Utah, an exploring expedition the previous autumn had located a new settlement site for them. Early in the spring the president of the enterprise, Charles Ora Card, returned with and advanced party to established the first colony at what is now Cardston.
The main body of the group left northern Utah on April 3, 1887. President Card met them near ____Montana, to guide them home. After passing here, they continued through a late snow storm, arriving at the site of Cardston on June 3. With all forty settlers assembled as the founding of the community.

A Beautiful Fall Day at the Sumpter Valley Dredge Oregon State Park
A beautiful fall day exploring at The Sumpter Dredge Stae Park in Sumpter Oregon. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Sumpter Valley Gold Dredge is the last of three built on the Powder River. Built in 1935, it ran until 1954. It dug up more than four million dollars worth of gold. The Dredge is located just a block off of the main street of the small historic mining town of Sumpter along the Elkhorn Scenic Byway
The tour of the dredge is a great way to explore the gold mining heritage of Eastern Oregon and the Sumpter Valley. The Dredge is currently undergoing restoration however park rangers will continue to host tours throughout the restoration process.
Visitors to the park can also try their luck at gold panning and explore the vast system of nature and interpretive trails that meander through the tailings left by the dredge as it worked it’s way up the river bed more than a half century ago.
The Sumpter Dredge is also the setting for bestselling author Patrick Carman’s, Skeleton Creek book series www.patrickcarman.com/enter/skeleton-creek

I found this tumbled nodule just outside of Cox's fishing camp, near the shore of Falcon, Lake, in Zapata County, Texas in 2001.
Petaluma was the site where much of the movie "American Graffiti" was filmed. It is a charming and commercially busy area with its vintage ambiance still largely intact.

So Fremont Street is "Old Strip" or "Strip Classic" it's what people usually think of when they think of the strip. At least the people that I've taken to Vegas. Growing up here I always think of the newer parts of the strip, but this area still has its charms; one of them being the giant TV screen type celing where they play music videos and other such random things that they feel like showing on this giant screen.
