A trail leads visitors through an old-growth forest along the North Umpqua River with views of cascading water through a narrow rock gorge. The trail has 200 steps leading to a sturdy deck overlooking the two-tiered falls. The upper descent drops 40-feet, and the lower falls plunge 80-feet over a sheer wall of volcanic basalt. In the Chinook language, the word "Toketee" means "pretty", or "graceful", an apt name for this inspiring waterfall.
Park County. East of Livingston, Springdale was originally a station on the Northern Pacific Railroad which was often used by travelers visiting Hunter's Hot Springs a few miles to the north of Springdale. The name came from a local ranch established by Cyrus Mendenhall called the Springdale Ranch for the numerous springs on the property. A post office was established at Springdale in 1885 (July 10) with Alexander Yule as postmaster. Pictured is the last location of the Springdale post office as seen in 2013; it was likely closed in August of 2012.

At the Lincoln County Courthouse in Fayetteville, TN is a section known as Confederate Park, where this cannon is located. There are two of these cannons, and they were manufactured by the Scott Foundry of Reading, PA in Jan 1865 and Feb 1866. They were cast as 10-inch muzzle loading smooth bore weapons. In 1876, rifled sleeves were inserted into the gun tubes reducing the barrel diameter to 8 inches. They were mounted on barbette carriages at Ft. Morgan, AL as a part of the coastal defense system during the Spanish-American War. Finally, they were brought by rail to Fayetteville and installed here in 1905.
Gainesville is the county seat of Cooke County. Settlement of the area began in 1845,
and was founded in 1848 and organized the next year. It is named for William Gordon Cooke, a soldier during the Texas Revolution. It is a part of the Texoma region.
Cooke County comprises the Gainesville, TX Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Dallas–Fort Worth, TX-OK Combined Statistical Area.
There have been four courthouses located on this site. The first, a small log structure, was erected in 1850. It was replaced in 1853 by a one-story frame building which was later destroyed by fire. The third courthouse, a two-story limestone structure, was completed in 1880 and destroyed by fire in 1909.
Construction of this Beaux Arts style architecture began in 1910. This is the fourth courthouse to stand on this site. The first, a log structure built in 1850, then a one-story frame courthouse in 1853 and destroyed by fire. The third courthouse, completed in 1880, and constructed out of Limestone, was destroyed by fire in 1909.

This was in Lil Village. For those not from Chicago; Cook County encompasses thirty "areas" including the greater Chicago-land area and is the second largest county in the country after L.A. ....Presided over by two ultimate Gangsters; Emperor Daley and Overlord Todd Stroger Jr., hence "Crook County". City of Gangsters.
