Biggleswade based Bristol RE / ECW YNV 206J is seen here laying over at the old United Counties Garage at Shortmead Street, Biggleswade around about 1985. Biggleswade was the first garages to be upgraded with new Wayfarer 1 ticket machines around this time which were much more advanced but rather slow machines. When the Wayfarer 2 ballistic print machines were released less than a year later all the Wayfarer 1 machines were quickly replaced. The Wayfarer 1 casing did however find a new lease of life as Wayfarer 2 and 3 Depot Readers where the slower heat print was not such an issue.

Dedicated in 1919 and costing $300,000. Now restored at a cost approaching $2,000,000. A breathtaking structure. Dome supported by four columns as seen in center of this image.
One of United Counties' batch of Bristol RE's that had been ordered by Luton Corporation is seen here in Market Hill, Luton around about 1980. Clearly fairly fresh from a repaint, having not yet had side adverts applied, the vehicle pulls past Luton's Debenhams store which was under construction at that time. A fellow driver appears to be hitching a ride up to Castle Street Garage on the way to Farley Hill. Through the rear windows can be seen the distinctive red vinyl seats that singled these vehicles out as not having been ordered by United Counties.

The Washita County Courthouse is located in downtown Cordell, Oklahoma. The courthouse was built in 1910 in the Classical Revival style.
The three-story courthouse is topped by a copper dome with clocks on all four sides.
Highway 152 runs east-west though downtown. The lanes divide has they reach the courthouse.
My parents had a carpet store for 25 years in downtown Cordell.
