Cattle feeding in West Sussex countryside.

Taken near Hannover, Germany.

Leaves to the left, leaves to the right

Leaves they circle, a scene so bright

A scene of nature, covered in green

A scene were wildness, it is seen

Beyond the leaves circling left to right

A scene so beautiful caught in the light

On the fields , wide and deep

Stand a hundred hungry sheep

White dots on a canvas of green

From the distance they are seen

Grazing under the midday sun

That across the skies, does run

Across the hills, wide and steep

Where stand the many hungry sheep

Taken at Dumfries House estate.

Sun coming down over the East Devon hills, creating lovely soft light

Side by side, cloven hooves are stood

In the fields of grass and mud

Grazing away on the green they see

All around the, now bare tree

That is beyond the grass and

mud

Where cloven hooves are now stood

Looking out from my lair

At the trees that were once bare

Down the corridor to natures room

Where wildness grows and it does bloom

Covering the land in a blanket of green

That from my lair is now seen

Beautiful and idyllic countryside around the village of Clun where I stayed for the week.

Enjoying a feast in the green

As rays of light, down they stream

On the branch, spreading wide

In the wild countryside

Sitting high. up in the tree

At natures beauty, created for free

Kissed by rays, that do stream

On the wildlife, feasting in the green

Look at all the pollen on the leaf in the foreground!

A route that takes in the delights of the countryside surrounding Lyme Park

This gently rolling countryside is between Brixworth and Creaton in Northamptonshire. The farmland is mostly arable, though there is some pasture for sheep and horses, especially where there are remnants of the medieval strip system of farming, with ridges and furrows being quite distinct.

Showing the change in season...

Rainy lake completely frozen.

Our visit to Washington turned out to be a miracle. Unlike usual wet rainy November days in Washington, the weather remained sunny (and freezing cold) for more than a week. The weather was so good that even the road to rainy lake was still open at the time we went there!

We tried to make it to Maple pass but couldn't due to extremely slippery trail condition. The frozen rainy lake was an amazing alternative!

This stream runs through a valley about half a mile to the north of Isham, the village where I live, and marks the boundary between Kettering Borough Council on the left and Wellingborough Borough Council on the right. The stream flows into the River Ise opposite the large Weetabix factory at Burton Latimer, and the Ise in turn flows into the River Nene on the east side of Wellingborough. Eventually the water flows into the North Sea at The Wash, about 65 miles away.

As natures wonders rise behind

In a field of green you will find

Beauty spreading all around

Rising silently from the ground

Stretching out, far and wide

Across the wild, wild, countryside
