One of the country roads we traveled down on Sunday, somewhere to the west of and between Front Royal Virginia and Winchester Virginia but I don't remember where exactly! :) Our goal was to get back to Front Royal in time for ice cream at our most favorite ice cream place. Sadly... it didn't happen. There will be other days and other times though! LOL I think this stone wall is probably pre-civil war.

Nothing like some cutoffs and your hat in the springtime. Lose yourself in the country and forget the world.

Unlike their domesticated city kinfolk, Band-tailed Pigeons stick mostly to the treetops in mountainous areas of the southwest and are fairly wary. This bird was often heard but rarely seen at my Boot Canyon campsite in Big Bend National Park.

They have also imported their lifestyle - meaning for example that delivery vans are now criss-crossing the country lanes.
