This Nashville warbler's song was "see-weet" but didn't really have a country beat.... but could still make the stage at the Grand Ole Oprey.
Near Millhaven GA is a dark place in Georgia, and an amazing spot to turn the camera to the night sky and see what the world used to look like before Edison's lightbulb.
One of the country roads we traveled down on Sunday, somewhere to the west of and between Front Royal Virginia and Winchester Virginia but I don't remember where exactly! :) Our goal was to get back to Front Royal in time for ice cream at our most favorite ice cream place. Sadly... it didn't happen. There will be other days and other times though! LOL I think this stone wall is probably pre-civil war.

Unlike their domesticated city kinfolk, Band-tailed Pigeons stick mostly to the treetops in mountainous areas of the southwest and are fairly wary. This bird was often heard but rarely seen at my Boot Canyon campsite in Big Bend National Park.

Chilterns, Hertfordshire - with oak tree and a dead squirrel. There is more traffic here than you might think. The reason is that in addition to the villagers we do have now have an urban population moving in from the cities. The latter are people with money. They have also imported their lifestyle - meaning for example that delivery vans are now criss-crossing the country lanes.
