Even before lockdown, the local deli counters in the big stores were only open 2 or 3 days a week. They clearly weren't paying their way and when they closed during lockdown I suspected that would be the opportunity for them to shut for good. None of the local ones have reopened - is this a more widespread closure?

Jimmy is sensitive to loud thunderstorms (he doesn't like them). Thunder and lightning make him hug an interior wall, literally--and he won't eat until it's over. Anything different gets his attention, & he enjoyed the nest for a while.

I can not get them to understand the concept. :D

Best of viewed large. A pair of ospreys were trying to drive off my nesting couple. It didn't work. It was mostly posturing but it looked like war!!
