Here in Brazil we are already counting down to the summer, me and family countdown to vacations. And in this vacation, in early December, we will cross the continent and land in Portugal to know the land of the discoverers. Enjoy the cold weather, and enjoy good Portuguese cuisine and beautiful cities.
* I'm grateful for visit, favs and comments of my photo.
I love cross. This is a scan from a 35mm cross-developed slide. Someone loves cross for an unexpected result, but this is not my way .. I love cross for its simplified, decorative - conditional color.
and I don't like Sensia too much for her strong imbalance. Someone loves, but it's not me ) However, photography for me is a field for constant experimentation. and therefore sometimes Sensia happens))
the photo is not of a mountain elf village in the Alpine Meadows. It's not like it's a settlement at all. it is a projection in time of the a settlement of people who lived at different times down in the valley.
The pyramids of the Ossetian highlanders are houses where previous generations of ancestors sleep on different floors in in boats hollowed out of logs.. The older the clan, the higher the Mausoleum. Like the roots of family trees stretching up the mountain slope to Heaven. It is very clear for future generations - looking back in time you see the history of your family several centuries earlier.
An example of the depth and wisdom of traditional pre-global culture..
always welcome comments

Not the version with Rachel Riley unfortunately 😁 I had a little day trip out to Langdale on Sunday to see the last of the heather. An early start as I had to be back to look after my nephews. No bother, I was up ridiculously early and there for dawn. After heading up Side Pike for sunrise, I decided a walk was in order. I'll just nip up Pike o' Stickle, Harrisons, over Pavey and down White Ghyll. Easy. Let's just say my massage gun has been useful for the past few days 😂 No, not that you rude people!
Oh! This is the fantastic view from the path up to Loft Crag from Stickle Barn, Windermere way in the distance.

Another beautiful sunset on Baranof Island. The fireweed starting to flower is the unofficial countdown to our first snowfall. It can snow at any time once the blooms reach the top of the freweed stem
The groomed trail along Andrew's Millpond South. See next photo for view of pond which is located to the left side of this photo.

Christmas doesn't seem quite right to me this year because it's the first one without my dad and I find myself just feeling like it's very jarring when the rest of the world keeps going on and on as if nothing is wrong when there are so many things wrong....but, then again, there are also things that are right like time spent with friends, cats, my partner and my mother....time spent with nature and time spent away from the commercialism and capitalist hellscape of the season and focusing on what really matters.
I really enjoy the George Eastman House exhibit in Rochester, NY every year with Gingerbread every year as they can get very creative and nontraditional so I wanted to finally post a few of them. Here's the first one of three.
