He knew he couldnt stay any longer he was staying with poor people, in an old shack. As he got ready to leave to look for another place to stay he was given a bit of food to take with him and was given directions to head east. That would bring him over the river.
What I am describing now is a glimpse into the mind of a homeless wanderer, more than a century ago. They went from farm to farm, asking for shelter. They spendt 5 days at each farm and serve as a sort of entertainment and a bearer of news from other parts. They were therefore always welcome, as it could be quite difficult to get news.
He continued his travels, heading east. The cold was nearly overwhelming. Daylight lasted for only 4 hours during the daytime. It had started go get dark when he got to the big river. He knew it was a dangerous part of the journey despite the icy capsule. He ventured out on to the ice and heard
the creaking sound made by the weight of his steps. Large icebergs that had broken off from the glacier at the top of the river had broken off and were now trapped, frozen in time as it were. But he knew that the ice was not safe near to them. He walked away from them. When he was midway over the icy river he saw a fantastic light in the sky. He had never seen anything like this. He became scared, was this a bad omen or were they
demons and creatures from the underworld coming for him? He hurried to get across the ice but in his panic went too near to one of the icebergs and fell through the ice into the river. What painful cold! He could feel the icy water overtaking his voluntary movements. He knew that if he was more than 4 minutes in the water that would be the end of him. He managed to crawled back up to the ice and away from the opening in the ice. As he looked back and saw the northern lights reflect their green ghost-like glow in the water and the large iceberg against the sky, he realised that he had to find shelter soon, if not it would be the end of him.
She couldnt help but try on my new Victorian lace skirt for the website, I just had to take this photo...
couldnt believe my luck with giving my camera to the boom. This was taken with my handheld Canon SD1000. What an amazing effect!
It was close to sunset and we passed about 60,000lbs to this Bone who went off to hunt in the mountains. He passed by us after getting gas and descended into the mountains...I wish I had my camera up front at the time! This shot more than makes up for it though.
he wasn't alone.
This one is for all my NYC friends.
You people are amazing.
Thank you =)
And for this particular shot, thank you.
I couldnt resist in stopping to take a picture of the lovely Autumn Colours of the trees surrounding the lake and lining the Road that lies ahead. taken in the South Island, New Zealand
Fairly significant atmospheric turbulance last night so couldnt pull much detail out of Mars images.

So close no matter how far
Couldnt be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I dont just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
So close no matter how far
Couldnt be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I dont just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know, yeah yeah
So close no matter how far
Couldnt be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No nothing else matters
~ Nothing else matters - Metallica
Changing the mood a little !! :D
and this song means a lot to me, it was the first song I heard for Metallica, long time ago, I always feel the strength and life come from it, I don't know why, and it's always connected with my eldest brother in my mind, reminds me of him, he is the Rock crazy and he made me listen to it, and I liked....... Rock !!!! :D
not all of it anyway :))
so I’m in the Rock mode now..... next song ? I don’t know :)
hope you all have a wonderful sunny weekend, but don't melt in the hot weather !!! :))
Happy Saturday !!!
I went looking for a tree & found a tree!
Unfortunately I couldnt get the clouds to behave so this didnt really come out as I'd hoped.
I always wanted
What I couldnt have..
So if you have one of these
You know, those bratty ones
Called
" big sisters " " little sisters "
Then you have alot
Love her and be there for her
With her
Any and every time you can

This was my text to friend and fellow tog Kim (itsgottabered) at 6am thursday morning.(He lives 5 mins away)
(Sorry to all others couldnt text everyone ) :-)
I didnt want him to miss this baby going off, some say togs are selfish pricks and like to keep these moments for themselves, well not me, no way could i face myself sending him an iphone snap of this..
Anyway thats just me..
Have been waiting for this sky since last June 5th 2011, we haven't had many great sunrises in SEQ over last 12 months,i should know as im out 2-3 times a week... this one makes up for all of that.
Why was i here ? i had gone out on tuesday and trying to catch a good sky, no luck just a splash of colour.
Had a hunch for thursday, so dragged my butt out of bed and headed down to wello, on arrival i could see this monster glowing in the dark in the night sky...
Got set up for numerous panos of this scene, this one just a crop and entree to the main course...
Once the sun rose higher this baby went off big style.....
I dont normally throw up a pic or more than one of a shoot so quick as many to get through, but this one breaks all the rules..
So im afraid you will see one other in all its Pano glory.. Will be on our big 44 inch printer monday morning...All 2 metres of it.....
Lastly now i give up.... how do you top this sky ??
A capture that finally justifies my purchase of this awesome camera..
No filters used here...single capture NO HDR.....
Sorry for the spiel, but as you can see fairly excited about this shoot.
Please enjoy and best viewed large..
couldnt help myself....... i liked the hair color. leslie and i messed with her face, chips, blush and lashes... so she is far from stock.
the hair actually has a pink look to it in reality..... it's honestly not neon orange.
Just realising it is Flyday & I couldnt see anything to post! I had some hover fly pictures from last weekend in county Clare but i seem to have managed to overwrite the SD card before saving them anywhere. They weren't all that great pictures anyway!
So I found a dead window sill fly, left it on the window sill, and lit it with a head torch I had handy as the light was poor.
when needs must...
...you have to improvise.
Nouvelle Vague - Bela Lugosi is Dead
To make a long story short: i did go back to real and grab raquelle today lol just couldnt resist her and her fashions :)
Leon Kennedy from RE2 in his iconic Racoon City Police Department get-up.
For those of you who grew up with this series as I did, even though you couldnt use it as Leon in the game, Claire could upgrade her pistol into an M9 Raffica so I thought it was fitting to put mine to use and try out the mod.
Great design on that gun Will. Love it.
I couldnt resist another visit to the Starling roost in Somerset.
On this evening there were less Starlings however I did bag this shot of a Heron flying away from the roost looking for a more peaceful spot to spend the night.
couldnt help but notice this young family where entering through the centuries old gateway..looks amost fairytale like..
This web couldnt be more different to the neat webs of the garden spiders. I wonder which is more successful ? Anyway, view large, the spider is in there ! H29A : o )
Couldnt get any longer than 20 seconds out of this shot, too bright then the heavens opened...

+1 comments (i couldnt decide between the two)
although this is not film, i did take my first roll today! ill be getting it developed tomorrow. IM SO EEXXCITEDDDD to see how it turned out.
i can actually say i took this today. im so proud. :'D
not sure how i feel about it but i freaking love the color of my bathroom (we just redid it) ahhh my fav color ever. <3
i long to be on of those people here on flickr that have 500 views on every picture and like 30 comments and 40 favorites.
or at least have one explore.
Couldnt believe that nature had copied Escher
Sort of cauliflower or broccoli
Romanesque Brocolli/Cauliflower (or Romanesco) looks and tastes like a cross between brocolli and cauliflower. Each floret is peaked and is an identical but smaller version of the whole thing and this makes the spirals easy to see.
You can find interesting things about the Fibonacci numbers in "Fibonacci numbers and nature": www.mcs.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/R.Knott/Fibonacci/fibnat.html
i took this a while ago with a point and shoot. when i saw this light coming in from my little brothers window, the opportunity just couldnt be passed up. the quality is a little unfortunate, but i thought i would share it anyway (mostly because yet again, i did not upload anything yesterday... at least i was sufficiently busy..). but also because i like to balance my stream between natural photos and photoshopped ones.
i have been tagged by a bunch of people recently, and i have been avoiding it... haha.
1) i get cold really easily. if im warm, everyone else is too hot. this is why i personally like this photo a lot. ive always got a case of the chills.
2) owls are my totem. i have loved them ever since i was a little kid.
3) that being said, i dont follow a religion. i follow my heart.
4) however christmas is my favorite holiday... haha. but just because i like making gifts for people. and that gives me a deadline to get things done.
5) im beginning to hate my job. ive had it since i was 16. and i feel im getting a little too old to have such a pointless purpose in life. i work at a party store, which is fun sometimes... but it gets me down when people come in and spend hundreds of dollars. there is not a single item in our store that anyone actually needs. think of what we could do with all of that money?
6) i love grocery shopping for fruits and vegetables. it lifts my spirits.
7) i want to go snorkling SO bad.
8) i get into habits really easily, like eating the same thing for breakfast, but i cant stand when nothing changes.
9) i think that dresses are the most essential part of a wardrobe. cute and always easy.
10) last night my boyfriend and i rode our bikes up to the bar for our friends 21st birthday. we didnt stay long. smoked some wizzy and rode our bikes to the park. it was one of the best nights of my life.
My first attempt led to a foggy lens after 58 shots of a planned 300 shot stack. Thought I would process anyway and was pretty happy with the result. Porcessed with Photoshop as I couldnt get Starstax to work on my Mac. Definitely something I will be trying again.
Hehe the sun was lovely today, couldnt resist to play with it a bit! ;)
SHOULD I DELETE THIS?
I CANT DECIDE.......... /:
I tried several different methods on this blend and I couldnt find one that worked quite right so I mixed a matched a few things that have worked before and I hope I was able to pull it together and the Ha isnt overwhelming.
I lost most of the natural look of the RGB but I really didnt want to lose any of the detail from the Ha data , was fun to process thats for sure.

Walk 96/100
This couldnt really be classed as a walk - rather a scramble over and around the granite boulders. Although the start was easy enough, we soon found it a significant challenge for our 70+ year old legs! Much to our regret, the Increasing heat meant that we didn't quite complete the full walk - we were a bit regretful about that.
Couldnt resist a quick snap of this lovely young rabbit as we drove past, high up on the moors of North Yorkshire.
i couldnt' think of anything else to do at 5 minutes before midnight, so i just snapped the usual bathroom shot. i hate it when i have nothing creative.
The sky was so full, I couldnt fit the whole scene in. So I tried 3 portrain shots, joined in PS to try & convey the size of the display above us.
It was quite difficult to try & shoot 3 shots of a moving scene in the dark, I had to just kinda guess & hope for the best !!! LOL ;o)
