Copenhagen, Denmark- august 30, 2014 :Motorcycle cop standing in the middle of the road and controlling the traffic.
Mow Cop Castle is a folly on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border near Congleton. Despite looking like it's on a remote windy hilltop the castle is very close to the road and access is a relatively easy short walk from the car park. It's a great place to watch the sun set across the Cheshire Plain with views of Snowdonia, Liverpool and Manchester.

This is the last remaining ski jump tower at Canada Olympic Park (C.O.P) - Formerly Paskapoo).
The ski jumps at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary are being demolished primarily due to a lack of funding and because the facilities are considered too old and not up to current competitive standards, making their maintenance cost prohibitive; this decision was further fueled by Calgary's failed bid to host the 2026 Winter Olympics, which would have provided a reason to maintain the jumps
The movie "Cool Runnings" was shot here (when the original 3 towers were still standing). From my knowledge, these have been abandoned for quite some time, and becuase they don't meet current competition standards, I doubt the city will rebuild them.

Catching the last patch of evening light CSX's "Honoring Law Enforcement" unit leads M601 south by the north end of the Loachapoka siding.
Not a camera trick -- she's doing exactly what it looks like she's doing. He'd turn subtly away, and she'd move around and grope a little more.
Elwood: It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
The Liverpool - Southport EMU workshops at Meols Cop just outside Southport. Mainly the sliding door (later Class 502), but a single car of the compartment stock is behind the 3 car unit in the foreground, but this may be a Parcel car. A rake of Carmine/cream hauled stock is stabled on the right so probably mid 1950s?
Thought I would pop into Cheshire/Staffs this evening. I missed the best of the light, but it was good to be out after what feels like an age.
Mow Cop Castle is a folly at Mow Cop in the civil parish of Odd Rode, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The ridge, upon which the castle sits, forms the boundary between the counties of Cheshire and Staffordshire, the dioceses of Chester and Lichfield and the ecclesiastical provinces of Canterbury and York.
