We played around our kitchen plus watching some youtube instructional video.. LOL Well it tasted well :) hahaha :D (via Foodspotting)
Stuffed and ready to cook. Some were filled with a mixture of sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese, the others were filled with a spinach and ricotta mixture based on a recipe from guioconnor.
Our newest distraction : sugar / salt cured salmon fresh from the waters of Lake Michigan (from the michigan side... the real side).
Step 1 : Prep...
Sugar, salt, peppercorns, anise, and fresh dill & parsley.
Grilled jalapenos, portabella mushroom caps, and Aidell's chicken sausages (artichoke and apple flavored); roasted potatoes with garlic; spicy mustard.
Delicious.
Served on my mom's old china - we don't fool around with our sausages! (Oh, wait, yes we do...sometimes...)
My lunch on the snowy Saturday we had recently in NYC. Delicious and comforting (even though I made tagine for the first time)

I usually don’t dine this late in the evening, but Cha Cha class was a bit delayed. I had to make a quick dinner using some some store bought tostadas. Chalupas are what’s for dinner tonight. I layered them with mashed pinto beans, diced chicken thighs, queso fresco and home made guacamole. Tying in my international theme, I don’t dine out for #Mexican… because I make it at home. I started cooking when I was a tween learning family recipes from my grandmother. I love hosting dinners, brunches and making desserts. Nothing pleases me more than welcoming friends to my home and being able to cook for them. These were a big hit, and so easy. I marinated them in olive oil and a bit of blackened seafood seasoning, then threw them on the grill with some sirloin tips, jalapenos, and crimini mushrooms.
