All these things will soon turn into homemade fettucine with baked tomato sauce. Not pictured: lovely bottle of Amarone della Valpolicella, and a lovely game of Trivial Pursuit which I may have won. Depending on your interpretation of sudden death.
This shrimp, lemon and chardonnay ravioli was on sale at Whole Foods, and Robert couldn't resist picking some up for dinner. He tossed it with some asparagus that had been sauteed with a little garlic and olive oil. Yum!

I made this "Shrimp, Tomato, Pea and Basil Risotto" from a recipe from my new favorite cookbook, The MediterrAsian Way. (There are also great recipes from these guys at their website, MediterrAsian.com.) It turned out really well!
The cool thing about this recipe is that it's much easier to make than the traditional risotto method and you can actually walk away from the pot for a while...you don't have to watch the pot constantly, stirring it laboriously, adding stock bit by bit as it gets absorbed bit by bit.
