Shualee Cook (Playwright - Tempest in a Teapot) is a Californian writer currently in self-imposed exile in the Midwest. Shualee’s play An Invitation Out received its world premiere at Mustard Seed Theatre in April, 2015. Readings and workshops include Sunset Artists of the American West,” (2016 Chicago New Work Festival), Tempest In A Teapot (R-S Theatrics), The Geography of Nowhere (Mustard See Theatre), Osgood Rex, (2012 Saint Louis Fringe Festival) and Music of the Goddess (2010 Spectrum Short Play Festival; Aphra Behn Emerging Artists Showcase). She was the 2015 Emerging Artist honoree for the Saint Louis Visionary Awards, as well as the winner of the 2011 Mustard Seed New Play Contest. She has also been a finalist for the 2016 Goodman Theatre Playwrights Unit, 2016 Jane Chambers Award, Inkwell Theatre’s 2014 play development program and Endstation Theatre’s 2014 Summer Residency.
