"Quarters for Porter & Cook"
"Both the Porter and the Cook shared this compartment. With on-board staff and complete food preparation facilities, a Pullman private car was literally a home on rails.
The wardrobe over the sink originally had a mirror and lights attached to the front of the door. A covered toilet occupied the space below the sink.
The floor covering in this area is original Pullman rubber tiling."

Journalling reads:*Take one packet of scone mix and attempt to follow the directions on the packet *Make a huge mess in the kitchen and ignore the mother in laws disapproval.*Use assorted shape cutters to cut scones into shapes.*Brush milk onto the scones before cooking as directed.*Give scones to some gullible family members to try.*Distract Lukas somehow while they politely spit them into the bin or hide them.*Stand back and admire the look of pride on his face!
Headed onto campus for my first squirrel feeding of the new year. I had a few errands to do in my office before heading back home. Pictures from a quick spin through campus on Thursday January 7th, 2021. I did notice that mating season seems to be still happening. All that barking and chasing all leads to a point. I also saw Waddles and Lefty. I noticed both of them had mange on their back, so I hooked them up with meds today. I will get their second dose next week. Lefty was just to the south of Martha Cook. Fun brief visit with my squirrels. The campus was mostly empty and the squirrels are getting ready for winter. Sending love and virtual hugs from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Every October, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Chili Cook-Off is a super fun event for both the cooking teams and the public tasters! Current event details at beachboardwalk.com/chili

The largest settlement on the Nullarbor Plain (with a population exceeding 50!) when this photograph was taken in early 1997, Cook has now been almost entirely abandoned, and has only two inhabitants.
remnants of the cook bank building in the ghost town of rhyolite, nevada. it was unusual to have stone buildings (not to mention three-story buildings) in mining towns, because mining towns were thought to be somewhat temporary. but, they were convinced rhyolite would last, so they built stone and brick buildings. murphy's law...

The original mill, which stood on this site was built in 1797, and was replace by the current mill in 1867. This mill was in use from 1867 until the late 1950’s or early 1960’s. Today the mill is located in a quite park like setting and visitors can walk the ground or enjoy a quite picnic. Cook’s Mill is located on West Virginia Route 122 near Greenville, West Virginia.
Just a few of my many Company's Coming cookbooks that I have been using for years. Front and center is the Muffins & More book. I think these are Western Canada's favorite cook books, by far.
Cook's Head Rock is a phonolite basalt rock standing on the Chrystall's Beach expanse closely north of the rivermouth settlement Toko Mouth of South Otago, New Zealand.
The lower faces of the rock are made up of numerous hexagonal basalt columns suggesting Cook's Head Rock is a former volcanic vent.
