I have never flown in a helicopter before and it’s always been a dream of mine to try it. Then when we were arriving at Mount Cook it was turning out to be an absolutely amazing day with not a single cloud in the sky except for one that was hovering above Mount Cook. It was not cheap to fly but once I saw those clear blue skies and having been absolutely flabbergasted by how beautiful the mountains are here I decided to go for a spin.
I’m so glad that I did it and that I did it on the day I did! We got the most insane views of glaciers not accessible to normal people and I got to experience 35knot winds and -12C up on a mountaintop when we did a snow landing. Best of all on the way back we saw mountain goats that were running up and down the cliffs. First of all these animals lack all sense of fear of heights! They must also have suction cups on their hooves because I saw one that got scared when he was on a cliff and then ran down a vertical slope! If I hadn’t seen it myself I wouldn’t have believed it, absolutely insane!
So if you ever get the chance to fly in a helicopter in New Zealand, take it, it’ll be worth it : )

I'm using extra large suction cup hooks as coat hanger in the entry way of the Oliver. There's room for two - one right over the closet. This is working out fantastically to keep our winter coats accessible and out of the way.
Thomas Cook (22 November 1808 – 18 July 1892)
Cook's idea to offer excursions came to him while waiting for the stagecoach on the London Road at Kibworth. With the opening of the extended Midland Counties Railway, he arranged to take a group of 570 temperance campaigners from Leicester Campbell Street station to a rally in Loughborough, eleven miles away (as there were no pubs there!). On 5 July 1841, Thomas Cook arranged for the rail company to charge one shilling per person that included rail tickets and food for this train journey. Cook was paid a share of the fares actually charged to the passengers, as the railway tickets, being legal contracts between company and passenger, could not have been issued at his own price. This was the first privately chartered excursion train to be advertised to the general public; Cook himself acknowledging that there had been previous, unadvertised, private excursion trains.
During the following three summers he planned and conducted outings for temperance societies and Sunday-school children. In 1844 the Midland Counties Railway Company agreed to make a permanent arrangement with him provided he found the passengers. This success led him to start his own business running rail excursions for pleasure, taking a percentage of the railway tickets.
Thomas Cook died in 1892 and is buried in Welford Road Cemetery, Leicester. After Cook's death, the business was continued by his son John Mason Cook.
This statue outside Leicester train station was created by James Walter Butler RA. The statue was commissioned by Leicester City Council with assistance from British Railways Community Unit and Thomas Cook Ltd, and was unveiled by Thomas Cook, great-great-grandson of the subject, on 14 January 1994.

Nihayet Nisan ayı sonunda İstanbul'a varırlar, ondan sonra İzmir'i ziyaret ederler.

January 2004
Believe it or not, there was a time in the not-too-distant past when Dane Cook wasn't a huge comedian selling out stadiums and breaking all sorts of record sales.
In January of 2004, he was just starting his meteoric rise and I was constantly overheard asking everyone I knew, "Hey have you heard of Dane Cook?" I wear it as a badge of honor that I was the first one in my circle of friends who followed Dane.
This doodle was taken from the insert of his first CD. Ah, yes. The days when Dane wore a crazy amount of gel in his hair and did impressions of Predator on the subway...Good times.
The township of Cook on the Adelaide Perth rail line is now only a whistle stop and refueling point for the Indian Pacific as it crosses the Nullabor Plain. Formerly a busy rail town, it now has a permanent population of 4. These were the original jail cells. Fortunately, they were only used as holding cells until the next train came through. With temperatures frequently exceeding 40C, a long stay would not be enjoyable.
Pretty much SOOC... I don't really want to mess with the rawness of the photo.
This is my British friend, Cook. No one actually knows his real name. He told me He always is cooking and he was always called Cook, so it just stuck. A fitting portrait i think.
BTW... I had three steaks in one sitting.

Crack the eggs into a cup or bowl. Stir them so they get beaten together, but not too much, you don't want it all homogeneous.
Put more butter int he pan.
Once the butter's melted pour the egg in.
Cook it on one side and flip it over and cook it. Use your spatula to chop it into pieces.
