I had a BLAST down at Steetley in Hartlepool this morning! The long standing but derelict town landmark, Steetley chimney was blown up to make way for a new housing development in the town. Hartlepool Mayor Stuart Drummond, Sirius housing group and lucky raffle winner Dave Fricker pressed the trigger to blast the 230ft chimney

The Cather and Pound Residence Halls of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln begin to fall during demolition. The buildings date to the 1960s and were being demolished to make way for new facilities on the campus.
The city of New York demolished this building with a controlled demolition on June 9th, 2013.
I heard that it was going to happen a week beforehand. Searched for a location to shoot it from on Google maps and Google street view and found two options.
Glad I did because when I went down there this morning the first choice was already full up. There were a lot of people at the second location but not too many for me to not be able to shoot.
