On the bridge on my daily way downtown and back again. It opens two, sometimes three times every hour. Big ships passing through, long rows of cars and busses waiting. Or - as with this bridge - pedestrians and bikes.
I had been taken pictures here the day before.

I have spent the majority of this last week in silence after laser surgery on my vocal cords. It has taken huuge amount self control. It has caused quite a bit of frustration especially in the first few days, and with those people trying to communicate with me!

大麻合法化倡議團體「綠色浪潮」在總統府前自由廣場舉辦「大麻祭」，期盼這棵極具爭議的植物，擁有被公平認識與討論的機會。
週六在台北舉行的大麻合法化遊行
週六（4 月 15 日），由公民社會“綠浪”組織的一場呼籲台灣大麻合法化的遊行在台北舉行。
活動於中午在凱達格蘭大道，總統府前以大麻為主題的市場開始，現場音樂表演從下午 1 點開始。
根據「綠色浪潮」說法，遊行的目的是提高人們對大麻相關問題的認識。 該組織尋求結束司法部的“大麻戰爭”，並將其在台灣的使用合法化。
中午過後，警方在凱達格蘭大道周邊地區實施了交通管制。
Cannabis decriminalization march set for Saturday in Taipei
A march calling for the decriminalization of cannabis use in Taiwan, organized by the civil society Green Wave, take place in Taipei on Saturday (April 15).
The event starts at noon with a marijuana-themed market on Ketagalan Boulevard, and live music performances starting at 1 p.m.
According to Green Wave, the goal of the march is to raise awareness of issues relating to marijuana. The group seeks to put an end to the Ministry of Justice’s “war on marijuana” and decriminalize its use in Taiwan.
Police have enforced traffic controls around Ketagalan Boulevard, surrounding area after noon.

Didn't have my normal sketchbook with me, so finally dived in to iPad sketching on Adobe Ideas - with just my finger. I recently got the Pogo stylus, but didn't have it with me.
Would look better if I had discovered you could control the color and opacity of the strokes. This took about 5-8 minutes. Fairly standard application pattern, but good for practice.
Going to create a grid that will also accommodate annotations.
With a little practice, using just your finger is pretty fun. One key is to get used to zooming in and out quickly to areas so you can get finer control of the illustration, and also to memorize what the different pen point sizes get you, so you aren't doing trial and error - you can easily go back to a 2pt size and know what it gets you, 4.5pt, etc.
