Style: Neoclassical Revival
The Colonial Williamsburg Courthouse was constructed from 1770-1771 in the Georgian style. The courthouse is located facing Market Square with Duke of Gloucester Street running directly behind it. The property was acquired by Colonial Williamsburg in 1928, and was added to the National Register as a contributing property to the Williamsburg Historic District on October 15, 1966.
The courthouse once housed two separate court systems, one being the James City County Court, responsible for carrying out county cases, and the other, the Hustings Court, responsible for the city cases. The courthouse was built with red bricks with white wooden trim-boards and long arched windows with white shutters. A projected portico is located over one of the entrances and is unique in Georgian architecture. The hipped roof rests on an entablature with dentil moldings. The roof is pierced on both sides by a chimney and a central octagonal drum capped with a dome and a spire.
The courthouse was the site where Benjamin Waller read aloud the Declaration of Independence on July 25, 1776, after it arrived from Philadelphia.
The building was used as a hospital for the Confederate Army after the Battle of Williamsburg.

Quinoa and edamame contribute lots of protein to this mildly spicy, highly textured summer salad.
For the salad:
1 cup quinoa, cooked
2 ears sweet corn
1 small red onion, finely diced
1 red bell pepper, cut in small dice
1/2 cup thinly sliced celery, from the tender inner stalks
4 or 5 radishes, sliced
1/2 cup fresh or thawed frozen edamame
2 ounces feta, cut in small dice (about 1/2 cup, optional)
1 jalapeño or serrano chile, minced
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
For the dressing:
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 garlic clove (more to taste), finely minced or pureed
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Salt to taste
1. Cut the corn kernels away from the cobs. Discard the cobs (or use for stock), and place the kernels in a steamer above 1 inch of boiling water. Cover and steam for four minutes. Remove from the heat, rinse with cold water and drain.
2. Soak the onion in cold water to cover for five minutes. Drain, rinse and drain on paper towels.
3. Combine all the salad ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk together the dressing ingredients and toss with the salad. Serve.
Yield: Serves four to six.
In my journey as a writer-slash-filmmaker, I often wonder what it is that I actually contribute to the quote-unquote, greater good. As of now, I'm both unpublished and unproduced; all the amazing ideas (just ask me and I'll tell you how awesome they are) are still either locked in my noggin' or snagged in the net of the Hollywood studio bureaucracy.
A couple of years ago I made a commitment to myself that I would do my damnedest to make the world a better place with every movie I write-and-or-direct. Since this moral manifesto was put into effect, I've turned down several paying gigs because they didn't meet that standard to me. It was either sex and violence for their own sake or simply just a plain old run-of-the-mill bad story.
But as I followed the Oscars from the safety of my Twitter account (I won't watch the actual ceremony. I have this superstition that I can neither attend nor watch an awards-slash-festival until I'm actually a part of said event. Sounds crazy, I know) I couldn't help but wonder: is it worth lowering my standards just to get my proverbial foot in the proverbial door?
For me, it isn't worth it. I may not drive a Beemer; I don't have a mansion in the Hamptons; and I may forever be an unknown, but I have my standards.

Christian Herry (1854-1917) built the hall under the direction of town developer Henry D. Gruene, for whom many of the farmers worked. The center of the community's social life for over a century, the large one-story structure features a "false front" entry with asymmetrical window and door arrangements." The Gruene Hall is in the Gruene Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property.

Background information of "Zhi Qing" (from wikipedia)
Zhiqing or The Rusticated Youth of China, known in Chinese as 知识青年 or simply 知青，is a term used in the PRC to refer to a young person who had received a high level of education, especially those who, beginning in the 1950s until the end of the Cultural Revolution, willingly or under coercion, left the urban areas and were rusticated to rural areas to assume peasant lives. The vast majority of those who went had received elementary to high school education, and only a small minority had matriculated to the post-secondary or university level.
After the People's Republic of China was established in order to resolve employment problems in the cities. Starting in the 1950s, youth from urban areas were organized to move to the rural countryside, especially in remote towns to establish farms. As early as 1953, the People's Daily published the editorial "Organize school graduates to participate in agricultural production labor". In 1955, Mao Zedong asserted that "the countryside is a vast expanse of heaven and earth where we can flourish", which would become the slogan for the Down to the Countryside Movement. Beginning in this year, the Communist Youth League organized farming, and encouraged the youth to cultivate the land. From 1962, it was suggested that the Down to the Countryside Movement be nationally organized, and in 1964 the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China established an oversight group.
In 1966, under the influence of the Cultural Revolution, university entrance examinations were suspended and until 1968, many students were unable to receive admittance into university or become employed. Additionally, the chaos surrounding the Revolution from 1966 to 1968 caused the Communist Party to realize that a way was needed to assign the youth to working positions, to avoid losing control of the situation. On December 12, 1968, Chairman Mao directed the People's Daily to publish a piece entitled "We too have two hands, let us not laze about in the city", which quoted Mao as saying "The knowledgable youth must go to the country, and will be educated from living in rural poverty, this is necessary". Due to the article, in 1969 many youth were rusticated. Middle school students were organized and assigned on a national level to the countryside. In 1971, numerous problems with the movement began to come to light, at the same time as the Communist Party allocated jobs to the youth who were returning from the country. However, the majority of these re-urbanized youth had used Guanxi to leave the countryside. Those directed to deal with the "Project 571" coup denounced the entire movement as being disguised labor reform. In 1976, even Mao realized the severity of the rustication movement and decided to reexamine the issue. But in the meantime, over a million youth continued to be rusticated every year. Furthermore, Mao's passing also temporarily shelved the problem to be dealt with later.

Our club, for example, includes members from 18 to 92, and sponsors the Chimacum High School Interact Club.
All clubs are open to men and women, and are non-political and non-religious in nature.
We are proud to partner with Chimacum Schools, sponsor the Chimacum High School Interact Club, lead and contribute to projects large and small within our local communities, participate in international projects designed to reduce infant mortality and improve access to clean water in impoverished rural communities in Honduras and Ecuador, and to contribute to the eradication of polio worldwide among many other projects. Wherever communities need active members, there you will find Rotarians.
We meet Thursdays at the Tri-Area Community Center at 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum, on Washington State's beautiful Olympic Peninsula, at 11:30am for a very informal lunch. The meeting begins at noon. Each meeting includes a brief series of announcements, an interesting 20-25 minute presentation followed by questions and answers, and concludes promptly at 1pm.

All of our secondary students took part in a day of fun and exhausting swimming events with each one contributing to their houses.
I wanted to contribute to the Whispery White Wednesday group and to learn some more GIMP tricks at the same time. Basic process was to set the light balance to daylight 50 in Digikam then import into GIMP. I added a layer map of whites, then layers of off-white and pastel pink. I set the blend modes to soft light and quite low opacity. I'm not sure the colours are very whispery white. Maybe some textures are needed on my next try.
Otherwise my day consisted of a visit to the gym, a meeting and working at uni. Then some shopping and tea in front of The Apprentice. Interesting to see that Lord Sugar got rid of two candidates, one more deservedly than the other.
People wonder why it didn't become part of the parking lot, and they assume it will soon. They marvel at fascinating old pictures from before the parking lot came.
At night a streetlight shines brightly into 3rd-floor windows nearby.

Built in 1925, the two-story frame barn with a front gable roof and rafter tails had a wrap-around one-story porch. The porch was later screened or enclosed in weatherboard. The building was originally used as a potato and fertilizer storage house. The building is in the Galivants Ferry Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property.

The Patio at Honolulu is the first scene and there are numerous new surroundings, including a radio station, a wireless room, the laboratory of a Japanese physician, a lotus garden, where the wrath of the sun god is seen to fall, a cane brake, and at least a coral strand.
“This play hinges around the efforts of Japanese agents, although watched by secret service men, to gain possession of the Hawaiian Islands by intrigue, and situations of an intensely dramatic character are developed. There is a delightful love story woven through the plot and it contributes an infinite charm to the drama. One of the chief features of the show is the wonderful scenic effects, especially the scene showing the eruption of the volcano.”

Private fireworks contributes to the Fourth of July celebrations at Brighton Park on the southwest corner of Hillman City, a suburb of Seattle.
The City of Seattle recently passed a fireworks ban, but people ignore it.

SHUKAR LULUGI/ BEAUTIFUL FLOWER
Red Tree artists’ Collective and Sojourn House are pleased to present Shukar Lulugi, a project with girls and women who have sought refuge in Toronto, and now share with us a rich and vibrant vision of their new home.
Conceived by Gyongyi Hamori, a Roma woman who came as a refugee from Hungary, the Shukar Lulugi/ Beautiful Flower project grew to embrace women from around the world. Shukar Lulugi is a women’s community arts project initiated by women from the Roma Community Centre and facilitated by Toronto-based Red Tree artist’s collective with major community partner Sojourn House, as well as Roma Community Centre and CultureLink.
Red Tree artists and invited artists worked with sixteen girls and women, from eleven to fifty-six years of age. From May to September of 2007, the eighth floor of Sojourn House was busy with photography, painting and poetry workshops. The installed works and the girl’s and women’s poetry are the culmination of four months of art-making, in which the participants explored new forms of expression, found new skills, and shared their stories, hopes and dreams.
The faded wall advertisement on the building known as the Dr. John B. Powers Store in Wake Forest revealed evidence of two products- dry goods and shoes. The building also called the Powers-Forensic Press Buildings was constructed about 1897. It is located in the Wake Forest Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property. The photograph was taken in 2017.

was discovered only by the late 90s and described as a new species to
science, ENDEMIC to Colombia, in 2001- we see it in our tours when
visiting the northern section of the Central Andes.
Features of the Landscape: This utility meter, a non-contributing feature to the historic landscape, is located near the stone walkway at the rear of the house. The boulders that line the stairwell just beyond it, however, are contributing features associated with William Allen White's residence (facing southeast).

The 1961 Stouts Hill Magazine records a race on the 27th of March against Ryeford, in which Rahman placed 2nd, Pennefather 3rd, Adey 4th, Smith 7th, Coxhead 10th, Foyle 11th, Evans 13th, McKane 15th. Stouts Hill won the race that year.
