Temperatures at the bottom of the canyon hit 60 derees. Yet, in the high elevation, there was more than enough snow to ski on. It's been a strange winter with lots of warm days and not much snowfall. Perhaps the early spring will mean a longer hiking season this year.

The ultimate contrast of this moment made me to shoot this picture.Its not a color contrast only but a contrast in the behavioral life as well. In Hinduism, the widow has to wear a white dress all her life in order to prove that they can't enjoy colors in absence of thier husbands. Though the scenario is changing and widows are dressing themselves with colorful wears.

This was one of those "just playing around" shots that with no intention of doing anything with. Since it was too hot to go out and shoot I was going through old shots and found it again. I like the contrasting textures of the old iron pole and the shiny brass of the chain.
