Both of these buildings must be 100 years old, both are red and they seem to complement each other nicely. The Roosevelt Apartments are the tallest building in the Park Ave area of Rochester. The garage goes with a house on the grounds of the Rochester Museum and Science Center. I always had the idea that that director lived there, but that may have changed.
-Theme: Refraction
-Elements of Design: The black and white filter overtop of the image create a interesting value to the glass.
-Principles of Design: The contrast from the light grayish-white to the black around the glass makes you wonder about the background of the photo.
-Camera Settings: I used my cell phone flashlight to cast light and shadows over the dish and cup. I wanted there to be enough show of light to I raised the ISO to 1600 but dropped my shutter speed to 1/100 to capture enough light but at the same time keeping it on the darker side.
-Editing: Once in Lightroom, I used the brush tool to dropped the exposure towards the back of the photo and light the exposure on the pine cones in the cup and directly under the cup. I also added the black and white filter overtop of the image.
-Summary: This cup and plate was found at an antique store and my mother loves it. I placed my cell phone flashlight overtop of the glass to create a refraction of the flowered design on the side of the glass. I love the way this turned out because it shows every piece of the cup and plate in the photo.
It was raining early October but I didnt let that stop me from taking photographs. Check out this sweet photograph with the reflections of the lights. I thought that was pretty neat.
Lateral epicondylitis treatment attempt number 3,012: Contrast Hydrotherapy. One bowl of hot water, one of freezing cold. Dunk each elbow into a bowl for 30 seconds then swap over. Repeat for 15 minutes and then repeat the whole thing throughout the day as frequently as possible. Addition of 5-yo helper trying to play with a lego mini figure in the bowls at the same time not mandatory.
Two different types of Lolita-one adorable dress (I adore the Pokemon fabric oh so much) and a beautiful gothic lolita though the feathers somewhat remind me of an Elizabethan gown.
I was admiring in when I was queueing (for once I was early! And I only had to wait like fifteen minutes. I heard there was MAJOR MAJOR queueing problems. I think next year we're gonna need a bigger venue which I hope is gonna be good!!!)
These girls were lovely, and I took a picture of the beautiful Gothic dress. I love asymmetrical hems so much.
There were loads of lovely lolita there-I can tell the event is really catering for the lolita crowd. Which is nice to see.
Well... This is a Suzuki Splash which was a rented car for us for 2 days and then with my brother in law we took it for a spin:) And ended up at an unused old train station:)

Roses after summer rain in my parents' garden in 2012. I've always loved how these droopy and delicate blossoms contrast with the sharp, dark green surroundings.
This is my love,Sofia. We have been married for 7 years, and it feels like a 1 minute for us. We cant belive that time is running away. But here we are,7+ years later and stil in love, waiting for new better world.
Hmmm other stuff now: im still sick and i stil have a flu, so this is fast processing, wich effect is amazing. It calls Fiscus Effect, and here is how you can do it. 1) create new adjustmen layer for Gradient Map, chose b-w gradient and click OK. 2) go to blending modes and chose soft light. And thats it. Well, if you want make grain like i did here, you should do like this, 3) new layer 4) fill 50% gray, 5) filter-noise-add noise-20pix 6) filter-sharpen and smart sharpen and grande finale is go back to blanding modes and chose Overlay. thats it. Have you seen this new Nike picture with Zlatan Ibrahimovic....they did same thing with him as i did here.....
have a great day guys, ill take my 5555 cup of tea now with 2 lovely aspirins :)
I've always loved the light\shadow game, b&w photos are perfect in such method.
this photo was taken with my digital sony camera, B&W mode - slightly modified with CS4 ..
~ Enjoy
For my Photo Design class, we had to pick a design element and produce four images reflecting that design choice. I chose Contrast & Texture and looked through the pile of dead leaves accumulated under my patio chairs. Leaves, especially when dead, have awesome textures and patterns so I felt they would make a fitting subject. I also used a low key light set-up to create a harsh contrast of shadows & highlights. I just decided to make a collage of them for uploading.
Finally getting some time off from school again. Can't wait to go hiking & camping now that the weather is staying nice. Enjoy the rest of your week Flickr.

"The Grey Man"
It is unknown when The Grey Man began working for The Agency, though it is rumoured to have been decades ago. Most believe he was inducted by the founders at a very young age and trained in secret.
Legend has it that he murdered one of the founders during his teens, in the exact method that that particular founding member had taught him. Why he did this, and more importantly why he was never punished for this, is entirely unknown.
Being the only member of any professional assassin organisation to have an extensive kill-count with zero failures has prompted many to falsely hire his services, only to disappear shortly after.
