The contrasts here are what caught my eye when I took this photo.
linear : organic
abandonded : inhabited
dark : bright
dull : vivid
so much life in such emptiness.
This is the carport of a house that burned down years ago.
So it turns out the pedestrian bridge is closed from now until May? I think they're doing construction on it. Such a bummer, I wanted to show it to Hannah.
So we had to walk across this monster. I hate the fact cars are zooming right by you the whole time.
I am always drawn to contrasting colors. Red and white, blue and white, black and white, dark blue and light blue, etc. I just love the distinction of each color being showcased. Ric repainted our mailbox this summer to his college colors of Crimson and Gray. Well, the crimson has made it on the box but the gray is out there somewhere waiting to be artfully applied.
In the meantime, I will enjoy the crimson box with white letters.

I'm supposed to be drawing attention to my subject using contrasting colours. I'm not sure that I'm managed this, but I do like this duck's beak!

I think this is one of my best pictures yet. Maybe it's not the best composition, but I love the contrast! It's an icicle, BTW.
