Description of work: Warsaw's Golden Terraces shopping complex is located in the geographical center of Warsaw, directly between the main railway station and the Palace of Culture and Science. Intended to contribute to the restoration of Warsaw's urban identity, the design by the American architectural firm Jerde Partnership won the 2006 MIPIM Architectural Review Future Projects Award in the Retail and Leisure category. The architectural highlight of the Golden Terraces is the atrium, a glass canopy measuring 10,200 meters squared, which is enclosed by two half-moon shaped building sections and a 100-meter-high building. The multi-use complex features many shops and restaurants, leisure facilities, a movie theater, offices, and a four-story underground car park. These series of shots are from my site visit to Seagrove, Fl and observing the construction progress in preparation for the pouring of our roof (future second floor) PT slab. The PT stands for Post Tension and is a way of constructing the slab so that we can have a narrow slab thickness (8 inches). Most hotels and condos are built with this kind of slab system.
The end of the PT tendons. They will pull tension of these tendons once the slab is poured. A coupling will then be placed on the tendon and will hold that tension and rest in the black cap you see here.
