After exploring White Pocket for a few hours in the middle of the day, I went back to the jeep for a rest and a bite to eat. In the meantime high cirrus clouds moved in, so when I went out photowalking again towards sunset the light was soft.

The Terschelling drowning house used to be a rescue operation for stranded skippers on the eastern part of the island. The castaways could then shelter in this house in bad weather. It was a very crucial place, as the sea around Terschelling could and can be very rough, so it was very common that there were shipwrecks in this area. The stranded sailors could spend the night in the house until the storm passed.
This photo was taken after a lonely and long walk on the Boschplaat in the evening. There are also tours to this place, but it doesn't do justice to the scenery when there are busloads of people wandering around. Going alone also had the advantage that there is more time to walk around and take more pictures from different angles.
A waterfall from Watkins Glen State Park in Watkins Glen NY. I just really liked the shale formations that surrounded this one.
I hope everyone enjoys this image! :^)
I have some decorative pears sitting on a glass table top whose edge is pear contoured too.
B'dee, b'dee......that's about it.
MLC Centre architecture cannot be overlooked. With elegantly contoured, stark white concrete, white quartz and glass, the façade presents itself as a handsomely moulded sculpture.
Harry Seidler AC QBE is a luminary of Australian architecture. Widely considered as the first architect to fully express the Bauhaus aesthetic here. The MLC Centre remains one of his most definitive works on the Sydney Skyline.
244m to antenna and 227m to roof. The MLC Centre was Sydney’s tallest building in Sydney from 1977 to 1992. It is currently the fifth tallest building behind the Meriton World Tower (230m), Deutsche Bank Place (240m), Citigroup Centre (243m) and Chifley Tower (244m). The tallest structure in Sydney is still the Sydney Tower at 309m.
“Once spiritual experience becomes objectified, it turns into an idol. It becomes a “thing,” a “reality” which we serve. We were not created for the service of any “thing,” but for the service of God alone, Who is not and cannot be a “thing.” To serve Him Who is no “object” is freedom…What matters is not what one feels, but what really takes place beyond the level of feeling or experience. In genuine contemplation, what takes place is a contact between the inmost reality of the created person and the Infinite Reality of God. The experience which accompanies this contact may be a more or less a faithful sign of what has taken place.”

The Royal Kite (Milvus milvus) is a species of raptors populating the Western Palearctic. In ancient French, and still in the sixteenth century, it is called a cloak.
Its plumage is reddish brown above, streaked with black underneath, its head, neck, throat whitish streaked with dark. His eyes have a green outline with a black dot in the middle. The female is a little duller. The bill is yellow at the base, gray at the end and rounded like a mini hook. In flight, it presents a characteristic silhouette, with its long, narrow and strongly bent wings, light spots under the wings and its indented tail.
