Our second photo of the past week is a warm sunny Thursday afternoon. Dad has his full snow gear on and playing with me in the record snow (51.2cm) we got on Tuesday. I love it when he gets right in there with me and we can wrestle for my ball, but I have to be careful not to go overboard and stomp the camera that he sometimes leaves to one side to play more vigorously with me. My favorite play time is wrestling for the ball with Dad in the snow!

What could possibly be more perfect than strolling along the shore with two rascally terriers? Nothing! Instant happy place. 😊
Leaving the familiarity of the farm behind, the three of us set off on a beach adventure, soaking up the magic of the salty ocean air and feeling the sand beneath our feet. When we returned home, the pups left sandy paw prints in the barn and I noticed that my mane had a few more sun-kissed highlights in it! As I mixed up a margarita and caught up with friends, I felt a contented peacefulness to start the new week.
I hope everyone is having a beautiful Monday, and that you all have glimmers of happy weekend memories to carry along with you as well. Sending love ... 💕

This contented little chickadee was whistling out that wonderful melodic "Here Peatie" call that carried quite a distance in the crisp quiet air this afternoon.
This was our ginger rescue cat, Mushy, not 10 minutes after we brought him home from the Cats Protection League home in St:Helens. Although his look us still one of caution, I think he knows he's probably arrived in "Heaven"
A flock of geese had flown in at sunrise and contented themselves for several minutes and were then spooked into the air by a passing eagle, producing a cacophony. The takeoff and their reflection in the wetland captured here.
I went to see where Bella was & found her fast asleep - luckily she stayed like this long enough for me to take her photo. It isn’t a proper nickname, but when I see her like this I can’t help calling her “Baby”.
Happy Caturday!
These two contented collared doves don't appear to have a care in the world as they enjoy each other's company and wait for the weather here in Iowa to warm back up.
This contented little pied-billed grebe was sitting in a small protected bay as winds were gusting to over 60 mph and making whitecaps out in middle of Lake Meyer. The strong northwest winds along with scattered snow squalls made for a miserable April day.
Shot this grey seal just lazing on the rocks just as we left of the Isle of May... Once on the boat I put the camera away... but thankfully when I seen this I had a few secs to react... get the camera out... stand up and compose and take a few frames before the boat finished its turn and headed back to Anstruther.
Dolphin is a common name of aquatic mammals within the infraorder Cetacea. Dolphins range in size from the 1.7 m long and 50 kg Maui's dolphin to the 9.5 m and 10 t killer whale. Several species exhibit sexual dimorphism, in that the males are larger than females. They have streamlined bodies and two limbs that are modified into flippers. Though not quite as flexible as seals, some dolphins can travel at 55.5 km/h. Dolphins use their conical shaped teeth to capture fast moving prey. They have well-developed hearing which is adapted for both air and water and is so well developed that some can survive even if they are blind. Some species are well adapted for diving to great depths. They have a layer of fat, or blubber, under the skin to keep warm in the cold water. Dolphins are sometimes kept in captivity and trained to perform tricks. The most common dolphin species in captivity is the bottlenose dolphin. 1954
“A meaningful life is not being rich, being popular, being highly educated or being perfect. It is about being real, being humble, being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others. It is only then that we could have a full, happy and contented life.”

These contented cattle are grazing on Ladies Rigg, West Lane in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire
Rigg is a commonly used word on the moors and it comes from the Scottish word for "ridge", as in the medieval "ridge and furrow" system of farming.

Sheep
Always nice to see the Sheep back in the old Research Farm paddocks around this time of year. This image was captured a few years ago but I noticed, from a distance, they were back at the weekend.
The name of a pub on our little harbor. Every year they plant various annuals in the tattered boat.
Thank you for your visits and I'll do my best to return the favor!
As Oscar Wilde once said, ‘true contentment is not having everything, but in being satisfied with everything you have.’ I love the expression on this man’s face, how he is seated and his shopping trolley full of goodies. He is in a happy place.

Spotted Hyena totally unfazed by our jeep, splashed around in the water ditch by the side of the road, before sitting contentedly in the water.
