Container ship in the Solent bound for Southampton

This oceangoing container ship is anchored on the Columbia River in Astoria, Oregon.

Due to the illnesses that have affected me over the past year and a half, in more ways than one, I haven't been doing much with my container garden. I picked up a few geraniums from Wal-Mart, but basically, all I have left are a pair of extra-hardy perennials and self-seeders.

Here, of course are one of the baskets of ivy geranium and a type of sedum I forget the name of. The leaves are not very thick, for sedum, that is. They are bright green and "serrated", with these cute little yellow flowers.

Too bad I can't get any macro shots with my cameraphone. (My Canon AE-1 needs to go to the hospital.)

[Update 6/1/2009] I just came back from a visit to my local nursery, where I found out the name of my mystery plant: sedum kamtshaticum. There's not a whole lot of nursery/gardening info that I can find online, and fewer images, so I am happy to add this ID to these photos. Most references I've been finding online pertain to using the plant for "green roof" experiments and installations. Cool!

Not really inspired today but they do represent me and my life - laid by my beautiful girls Dolly, Daydream and Isabel they are free range and wander around our veg patch and orchard. The egg is itself a container of life!

We built this container using some used blocks. When grown, this gloomy alley will be filled w/ large Creek Dogwoods underplanted w/ Yerba Buena.

All packages tied or choked down within the container. Right side shows non-spill AGM deep cycle batteries secured on pallet, permited to be shipped together with other hybrid light parts.

The arrival of the 40' container which I've purchased to provide a place for storage until I can build.

These guys will soon be in action.

Thanks to a trade with Vintage Thriftster I have some of these nifty containers for my herbs and spices.

These packets of herbs/spices are only 99 cents at Cost Plus World Market, a better deal than the same quantity for $1.99 if you buy them in the jar.
