Norev produced a model in 1:86 of a similar tractor unit in the 1970s, although theirs has a longer cab with an extra window behind the door. I have three versions of that, and photos are on this site. There is also an EKO copy of the Norev. Here is a comparison of the three: www.flickr.com/photos/adrianz-toyz/53383893230

Made from a scrap of construction tube this container is covered in papier mache, Chinese paper decoupage and acrylic paint. Add a hinge and scrap wood cut into a 'cradle' and you have an unusual and attractive box to hold your treasures.

A krathong is small container or basket made of banana leaves, adorned with flowers, incense and candles. Loy Krathong means “to float a basket” which is what many people do during the festival on one of the three days.
The Thais see this as a time to wave goodbye to misfortune, wash away sins of the past year, and make wishes for the coming year. Often people will say a prayer before launching the krathong.
For the romantic at heart or young couples, Loi Krathong is the time to make a wish for happiness together. watching the route that a krathong takes is a popular way for couples to predict what the future holds for their relationship.
As a photographer, I was lucky to have access to a good vantage point to photograph people performing this yearly ritual.
I tried to capture the spirit of the event.
De containers zijn behoorlijk zwaar als ze vol zijn. Daardoor worden de vrachtwagens soms een stuk omhoog getrokken tijdens het opladen van een container.
Here are two paper buses that double as containers for animal crackers - or vice versa. The bus in the foreground dates from 1964; the latter, nearly identical in form, is from 1993. Both were made by Dairy State Foods, Milwaukee, WI. The newer bus holds slightly fewer cookies, though, in the grand American tradition of shrinking packaging. These paper buses are interesting cultural artifacts; the passsengers of both buses are animals!
