so...i finally had a look at the new mall in the christchurch cbd. pretty underwhelming really. don't think i'll be heading back in a hurry. it's kinda like josh threw a few lego blocks together and called it retail. every "shop" was packed because they're so small; there were long queues out each of the cafe doors; while "green" might be a goal, non-smoking would go a long way to achieving that; and it's still just a bunch of shops. i didn't like the inner city before and these boxes don't make it any more attractive

A bit of a case of 'de-ja-vous' having had the job the previous week (see photostream on 18.6.10) But here is a second bite of the cherry with another shot of 6M75 looped at Tebay waiting time just after 04.15. 6M75 the 20.28 Margam Knuckle Yard to Kingmoor Yard is booked to call at Hardendale Quarry 05.26-06.45 to set down sinter lime containers and then continues to Carlisle Kingmoor with tinplate vans but like last week there wern't any. The train did however have an extra loco DIT (dead in train) in the shape of 66 138 tucked in behind 66 120 the train engine. On its long overnight journey from South Wales the lead loco has picked up a veritable forest of squashed damsel flies making the cab look like its got a contagious rash. The silver buffers suggest recent use on a special of some sorts.
