I placed this cache today. It is not published yet. I found a small piece of silver birch that was hollow inside. I filled the inside with expanding foam so that it would keep it's shape and stuck a painted match container inside. The expansion of the foam pushed it out a little further than I wanted but it is still serviceable.

Made from a scrap of construction tube this container is covered in papier mache, Chinese paper decoupage and acrylic paint. Add a hinge and scrap wood cut into a 'cradle' and you have an unusual and attractive box to hold your treasures.

It’s all action: garishly coloured containers being lifted from trucks and rail wagons by bright red cranes.
I’ve read that 90 per cent of non-bulk items are transported internationally by container ship, with around a quarter of all produce originating in China, but I can’t produce the statistics to support that assertion. (Hey, 83 per cent of all statistics are made up on the spot.)
We took a cruise with Holland America Line late August 2011, sailing from Vancouver to Alaska on the Zuiderdam. I took this shot from the ship as we prepared to cast off.

Empty containers neatly stacked, almost all the same way round.
The diagonal striped yellow and back stickers on the top edge of the container indicates that these are containers are 9' 6" high (opposed to the standard 8' 6' height).
9' 6' high containers only come in 40' length, never 20'.
