I wonder if this Dodge slipped past security because it's orange, or the driver just panicked trying to reach the ER.

In any case, getting in this way isn't an option, but at least they're in the ballpark.

Scaffolding is constructed around the Memorial Amphitheater to facilitate zinc-oxide applications at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, April 8, 2020.

Based on five-years of monitoring test area and DNA information, Arlington National Cemetery selected zinc-oxide as the most effective, least damaging, and environmentally safe treatment to reduce the dark biofilm that has grown on the Memorial Amphitheater. In 2018, Arlington National Cemetery’s facilities staff began painting zinc-oxide on exterior marble surfaces. The treatment gradually reduces the dark biofilm, so by the fall of 2021 the marble will appear white again.

The Chevy HD 3500 is best in it's class when it comes to lugging around oversize fiberglass exhibit frogs for scientific exhibits.

RAM only lists the towing capacity for fiberglass dinosaurs, and I don't even think Ford tested how many giant frogs it can pull anywhere.

In a pinch, the skid-steer could probably also handle one of those babies.

It doesn't look like much now, but crews will soon be excavating tons of dirt to build a pontoon casting basin at this location. Here we'll be building the concrete pontoons that will carry a new SR 520 bridge across Lake Washington.

The Central Artery/Tunnel Project, nicknamed the Big Dig, was a megaproject in Boston that rerouted the Central Artery (Interstate 93) - the chief highway through the heart of the city - into a 3.5-mile (5.6 km) tunnel. The project also included the construction of the Ted Williams Tunnel (extending Interstate 90 to Logan International Airport), the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge over the Charles River, and the Rose Kennedy Greenway in the space vacated by the previous I-93 elevated roadway. The construction work began in 1991 and was scheduled to be completed in 1998; it wasn’t finished until 2006. The Big Dig was the most expensive highway project in the U.S. and was plagued by escalating costs, scheduling overruns, leaks, design flaws, charges of poor execution and use of substandard materials, criminal arrests and one death.

“These are the NASA Mississippi Test Facility’s three test stands now under construction. The first structure, in the foreground, is one of the two S-II stands being built. The center stand is the second S-II test stand, now virtually complete. The S-II-T, all systems model of the S-II, second stage of the Saturn V space vehicle, can be seen in the stand. At far left in the background, the S-IC dual test towers rise. Its finished height will be 407 feet. The S-IC test stand is destined to be Mississippi’s tallest structure.”

The foreground test stand was designated "A1", the center one was the A2 Test Stand, and the far left/background was the B1/B2 Test Stand.

The Victoria Memorial, located in Kolkata, India is a memorial of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom who also carried the title of Empress of India. It currently serves as a museum and a tourist attraction.

The memorial was designed by Sir William Emerson in an architectural style similar to Belfast City Hall. Earlier asked to design the building in the Italian Renaissance style, Emerson was against the exclusive use of European styles and used Indo-Saracenic style, incorporating Mughal elements in the structure. Vincent Esch was the superintending architect while Lord Redesdale and Sir David Prain designed the gardens. The work of construction was entrusted to Messrs Martin & Co. of Calcutta.

Built between 1906 and 1921, it is a majestic white marble building at the southern end of the Maidan and surrounded by a sprawling garden. A black bronze Angel of Victory, holding a bugle in her hand was placed at the apex of the dome above the Memorial. It is fixed to its pedestal with ball bearings and acts as a weathercock when the wind is strong enough. Mr. A. C. Mitra, Bengal Engineering and Science University-alumnus, was Engineer-in-Charge in the construction project of the Victoria.

This is a fascinating use of ingenuity. The Silva cell is a stack of up to 3 layers of a pizza-box-lid-holder-style plastic frames. The resulting "cells" are filled up with loos-ish soil/dirt and then topped with a pavement of various kinds. The pavement can, presumably, be impermeable.

The resulting structure is strong enough to bear traffic loads but able to absorb rain runoff from adjacent areas. I'm guessing it also utilizes a kind of French drain/drain tile (perforated tube in this case) to eliminate excess water.

Good for trees adjacent to the site. Their website is kinda cool too.
