What happens when Makuta are told of the future? When they are shown the Toa that will rise up and defeat them before their story unfolds. Do they find them as Matoran before they have a chance to become Toa? Certainly. Do they smash them? Oh no, that would cause problems. See, if a hero dies, another will take his place. No, instead the Makuta send these future problems to another place. Some face eternal torture and pain. Some are constantly taken apart and put back together. But most are chained up, their Destiny, their potential elemental powers, being drained and taken from them. For what purpose this serves is unknown, but many have tried to escape this place. None have succeeded.
