The Sustainable Southeast Partnership joined indigenous leaders from across British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest was honored to attend the E Alu Pu Gathering and IUCN World Conservation Congress, representing our globally unique communities and ecosystems.

Released formerly captive orangutans, near Camp Rasak, Lamandau Wildlife Reserve, Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo. From a March 2009 trip with writer William deBuys traveling to Indonesian Borneo (Central Kalimantan, Indonesia) to visit with NGOs Yayorin and Orangutan Foundation UK to explore the social and environmental dynamics of forest conservation in and around the Lamandau Wildlife Reserve. The LWR is a release site for the Bornean Orangutans, the central area for an upcoming Rare Pride Campaign, and site of a proposed community-based carbon trading demonstration site for the UNDP's REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) program.
Thisbeauiful Gold Coast walking track is now closed hopefully by the end of 2011 some of it will be opened to the public.
November 03, 2022: There are Six Cambodian conservation leaders have been recognized as "Mekong Conservation Heroes" for their environmental actions, including important work on endangered species such as the Irrawaddy dolphin, Mekong giant catfish, and giant softshell turtle, as well as outreach and community-based efforts to protect Cambodia's globally significant forests and fisheries. An award ceremony to honor the Mekong Conservation Heroes will be held Thursday 3 November 2022. The Mekong Conservation Heroes program was developed by the USAID-funded Wonders of the Mekong project to shine a light on inspiring individuals in the Lower Mekong Basin working to study, protect, or raise awareness about the Mekong River’s unique ecosystem, biodiversity, habitats, and cultural heritage. "A healthy Mekong is necessary to support thriving communities, wildlife, and economic activity across Cambodia.
