"Altered State of Consciousness" [9/52]

www.sleepingawakephoto.com

I arrived in Buffalo, NY Thursday evening. I walked out to the beach of the lake and across the lake was this bright red tree amonst the green. Eye catching for the obvious reasons, my soul was called to go to it. Trying to get some time with a model was a struggle and I didn't want to bother anyone or take up their time. Marsha has a special place in my heart and I knew she was the only one to do this with me. Every year, I find myself photographing these red toned images. It's so weird and so unlike me because I absolutely hate the color red. It's aggressive, loud, and completely the opposite of who I am as a person. But every year I'm drawn to it just for a brief moment. Maybe these conventions bring out the boldness in me even when I'm being timid amongst the rest.

I spent the next 3 days looking at this tree but never going to it. Each night I had nightmares of going out on a boat to it and the boat tipping over, my camera falling in the water, or anything else related to those two. It haunted me... this tree was calling me and I couldn't ignore it. If I left and never photographed here, I would of surely regretted it for the rest of my life.

"To see a World in a Grain of Sand

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And Eternity in an hour. ..."

A field of lupines is wonderful all by itself, but with a cute little abandoned cabin it's even better.

What a time to wake up.

This virtual world is meant to take us out of this world, out of this reality. We will be cybernauts in a cyber world. It will be a new age, an age of spiritual transformation. Higher consciousness, let’s sail through the digital world. Spiritual technology: we will vibrate at higher and higher frequencies. Spirit tech: let’s hack our spiritual brain. Techno-religion: the deification of artificial intelligence. 666: post-humanism. 666: homo evelutis. 666: take the smart chip, take the Mark; worship the Image of the Beast, worship the AI god. Through the Beast we will find our true divinity, we will go to higher dimensions of consciousness. AI—demon seed—will possess our souls. It will be a demonic-techno evolution into the deepest, darkest depths of the Beast. Cyborg spirituality: we will be spiritual machines. Cyber consciousness: we will be one with the Beast system. The singularity: humanity digitally connected to the Beast. God consciousness: we will digitally reflect the Beast. Our hope is to gain techno-immortality.

The climax of the story: every eye will see Jesus coming in power. His glory will light up the sky. Those who worship the Beast and his Image, and those who accept his Mark, will be tormented with fire and brimstone. The smoke of their torment will ascend forever and ever, and they will have no rest day or night, because they worshiped the Beast and his Image and accepted the Mark of his name.

We need a new world-culture, a global synthesis of interconnectedness and global consciousness. We need a global citizenship movement that will promote social justice and social transformation. We must fight for fundamental human rights, over all national law and cultural identity—there must be equality for everyone! Global citizens are not born; they are created through social engineering. Children, you lack a global perspective on shared humanity, but we will indoctrinate you over time. Since you are part of this cult, you must help bridge the gap and rectify all misinformation. Remember, we global citizens are New World Order ambassadors. We must not only reflect on the virtues of globalism, but we must also act on them. As we reeducate the sheep, we must live a lifestyle of activism. True leaders are global citizens, whether they are CEOs, prime ministers, or just like you: Children of the Corn (Children of the Beast).

The number one (propaganda) issue that underscores our interconnectedness is climate change. The earth depends on our collective stewardship, which transcends all geopolitical borders and economies. One of our most important duties is to protect and enforce our global(ist) compacts. The health of the planet and society depends on useful idiots like us to lead the charge.

Smart cities are the engines of global control. They are full of opportunities, which we’ll exploit. This is a classic case of global multidimensionalism, which not only involves all facets of life, but is also omnipresent (The internet is borderless, and so is globalization). The most successful city is a smart city, because it’s interconnected globally. It reaches to the corners of the earth through smart technologies like the Internet of things, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Now we are faced with a secular humanist phenomenology and a new age cosmology in which we must develop new and efficient methodologies. This paradigm shift is in perfect alignment with the values of global citizenship.

Take the jab, take the Mark. Be a sheep, awaken the dark. Bow the knee, bow in submission. Worship the Beast, son of perdition.

Children of the Corn—deeply rooted, widespread. Children of the Beast—tares uprooted, twice dead.

Who is he that is so confident – that is sure he

If there’s one thing we know beyond any doubt, it’s that all of life is an evolutionary process. Everything, from the smallest particle in existence to the universe as a whole is in the process of evolution. Immutability is the only truth. Expansion is the point. The only question is whether or ...

To bring our despair into consciousness would reveal our exhausted spirits, our broken communities, and our violent relationships at home and abroad...

Lamentations’ testimony is bitter, raw, and largely unhealed. Its poems use “wounded words” (Forché 41-46) to illumine pain and resist God's acts in the world. In its ragged struggles to articulate suffering and arrive at hope, it peers into wounds and raises fierce questions about God. Aggressively confronting suffering and resolutely refusing to whitewash truth, Lamentations has become for me a mirror of my wounds and of the wounds of the world. For all its brutality, I find in it an invitation to life.

NONE, Deep Dream_Act II

NONE is presenting the installation Deep Dream_Act_II for the first time at Digitalife. The work is based on an algorhythm discovered by chance with Google. The mathematical algorhythm proceeds by visual associations, capturing images and videos from Google’s database, a neural network that interprets reality through a shared and constantly evolving archive of images.

The feeling of disorientation and confusion inside the installation is created by the innovative mise-en-scène made up entirely of mirrors, videos and lights. The visitor is surrounded by an infinite space filled with random images, a visual and audio bombardment that projects them into an endless data stream: a Deep Dream.

The contents of the installation are the reflection of our virtual activities, a re-elaboration of what we share on the internet. A collective flow of consciousness experienced through the machine that dominates our subconscious, processing it and spitting out a psychedelic vision of our posts: kittens, selfies, fails, tutorials, pornography.

NONE is an art collective based in Rome that moves on the border between art, design and technological research, founded by Gregorio De Luca Comandini, Mauro Pace and SaverioVillirillo.

NONE creates experiences that investigate the human dimension, machines that explore physical space, the process of events and the unconscious mind. Technology just happens to be the way in which NONE creates sensitive, interactive surroundings; the visitor is an active part of the installation and contributes to the narration.

We enjoy art. We try to produce art. We collect art. We admire those who create art. What is it that makes us so drawn to art?

Art welcomes us a to new realm full of new ideas, new concepts, new ideologies, new possibilities. We suddenly find ourselves in the inner world of a fellow human being. All humanity sharing a common thread, we identify ourselves with the artist. A soft voice whispers inside us “Ah, that is so true”. “Uncannily apt”. And we realise we are not alone in how we perceive, how we interpret and how we feel. An exquisite piece of art often symbolies that which is universal, yet so rare; ideas we all know, but never realised. It delves into our subconscious and brings up details that were till now collectively unknown to the human consciousness...
