Here is two days after the connection detail was made to tie in the remesh blocks securely to the foundation beam. Thsi small ferrocement detail was covered with a bentonite and water paste with some PVA fibers added to make it somewhat brushable. This bentonite fill of goo helps seal in the moisture for a good cure and the cloth was used to make sure this vulnerable detail stays wet.

Finally posting a few of my pictures from this year's Stonewall Farm Annual "Dancing of the Ladies", the morning when the cows first get out of the barn to feast on the fresh spring grass. They really do go crazy - for a cow. And the kids are fascinated.

Okay, so....funny story.
I saw the theme last weekend and thought,
"HEY! Finally something I can actually work into my stuff this week!" I've been having a bit of a time the last few weeks, just kind of twisting my images (and my logic) so that they fit into the theme. But "Connections" immediately spoke of to me of football, which I've been photographing like a mad woman since Fall Camp started last week.
As I made my way out to the field, I told my son that I was excited to get some shots for my project this week.
"I've got to get a connection shot," I told him.
He just kind of looked at me, so I kept talking.
"You know...like, pads hitting together. BAM! Connection."
I had to clap my hands really loudly for emphasis on the "BAM!" part because he still didn't look like he was getting it. He kept just looking at me and then he said,
"Ooooorrr...it could be like a connection of love between friends or family."
I kind of shuffled my feet and said,
"Oh...well...yeah. Totally.....I mean...I was going say that, too...you know....I just thought it was kind of....obvious...you know....and I just....wanted to do something different with it. You know....but....I mean, I thought of that, too."
Forget it. He got me.
Might be time for me to take a break from football....

Un anno dopo, nel 2002, esce "Give me a good reason to wake up", primo album ufficiale dei Motel Connection, seguito da "Two", singolo di enorme successo.

Themed 'Connect Local, Grow Global' the event provided supply chain leaders a true unparalleled networking experience.
Asiocentric is a very popular piece of artwork featured on both the Clockwork Gallery and Gallerisation web sites.
Asiocentric shows the projection of an imaginary underground system that uses the Asian perspective of the world as its viewpoint.
Asiocentric is part of the Underground series of imagery designed by Chris Gray. This series examines aspects of human interaction and communication based on the way that mankind has developed connections. This ability is one of the corner stones of our success as a species. Underground explores various aspects of our world and how we associate with it.
Here is an idea I came up with a while back when I wanted to see a sturdier connection between two walls of differing color. Interlocking the bricks does not work because it would not be a smooth color change from one part of the wall to another. While bricks can be stacked side-by-side instead of interlocked, the the resulting walls can fall much easier. The Halsam Constuctioneer has a red strip part that fits over the pegs, however, it is too thick to put between bricks. This plastic envelope material is very thin yet very strong. I imagine one could use tyvek envelope material as well. For these 1974 bricks that were just handy, I didn't need to punch holes in the envelope strip. If holes were there, it would fit down over the pegs of even the oldest bricks and securely hold the two wall sections together. This chimney design is an example of the need for this different type of wall connection. It is very easy to knock the chimney over when moving this house. The back corner of that same house is an example of how bad an interlocking connection looks with different colored bricks.
