S 3184 is one of eight carriages used on the Capital Connection, the daily intercity passenger train between Palmerston North and Wellington. These carriages were converted from British Rail Mark 2 carriages in 1998 and 1999.
Formerly known as the Greater New Orleans Bridge, these twin cantilever bridges span the Mississippi River. The Eastbound bridge opened in 1958. Thiry years later, the Westboud bridge opened. The bridge carries traffic on Interstate 910 and the Business Route of US 90.
It reminds me of the current eastern (Oakland side) span of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco.
