A week ago (on Saturday), about the same time of the day, between 3 to 4 pm, I was taking a nap on my bed while Helen was heading to the place where her parents live; between 7 to 8 pm, I was standing in front of the lake watching the scenery while Helen was enjoying her tea time at home, etc…
I and Helen had planed to do a full day of photo shooting on a same date, starting at seven o’clock in the morning on March 10, 2012, then share the photos on both of our blogs.
Now, the photo project is completed, and the experience leads me to some thoughts about a magical connection between people who are thousands of miles away from each other, and have never met in person, but share the same interests – photography and blogging. And, it is these common interests that link people together. What a wonderful thing in the world!

This is me in old-style Alirum. OK, I fell in the water, but it made for a good snap, even if I did get my paws wet.

Can't forget those eyes when he starred at me for the very first time (while breastfeeding). The moment of connection. My drawing didn't do justice to it. I wish I had taken a photo. But I was too busy enjoying the moment
The human community has reached a critical point in its history. The world today forces us to accept that humanity is one. In the past, the various communities could allow themselves to think that they were separate. But today, as the recent tragic events in the United States have shown, what happens in one country affects many other countires. The world is becoming more and more interdependent. In the contect of this new interdependence, self-interest requires us to take into account the interests of others. Without understanding and promoting the sense of our universal responsibility, our future itself is threatened. I firmly believe that we must cultivate a greater sense of universal responsibility. We must learn how to work not just for ourselves, our family, or our nation, but for the good of humanity. Universal responsibility is the best possible basis to ensure our personal happiness and world peace. It implies that everyone be given equal access to natural resources, by protecting the environment for future generations.

In order to provide a quick connection for passengers travelling from Penn Station to points east of Ronkonoma, trains connecting with Scoot Services typically arrive two or three minutes before the Scoot departure. Here, train 8014 makes its way through the Ocean Avenue Crossing moments before arriving at Ronkonkoma.
