Developing fruit fly eggs (follicles) are connected to one another via specialized stalk cells. In this confocal micrograph, you can see the beautiful connection made between a younger, smaller follicle and an older, larger follicle. F-actin is labeled (cyan) to allow us to visualize cell outlines, and labeled collagen IV (magenta) shows us the extracellular matrix that encapsulates each follicle.

The Neustädter Town Hall is the town hall of Hanau.

Location

The Neustädter Town Hall is located in the center of the former Hanau Neustadt, on the market square. Before the Neustädter Town Hall stands since the 18th October 1896 the National Monument to the brothers Grimm. The building is placed in one axis with the Walloon-Dutch Church, the central church in the new town of Hanau. The sight connection is made by Paradise Alley (Paradiesgasse).

Laying the foundation stone

Already in 1606 the construction of the town hall was decided, however, for reasons of cost is has been postponed over and over again. The city administration resided until then in rented buildings. It was not until more than one hundred years after the founding of the Hanau Neustadt that on 11 June 1725 under the government of Count Johann Reinhard III. the groundbreaking ceremony for a private hall of Neustadt occurred.

The in Baroque style built Neustädter Rathaus (Town Hall) with its hipped roof with mansards was designed 1723-33 by Christian Ludwig Hermann. The sovereign supported the construction with affordable building materials and by providing scaffolding wood from the construction of the castle Philippsruhe. Construction was completed in 1733. Some years later were - also by Christian Ludwig Hermann - back buildings built to the long road. They contained the archive, the prison and the home of the official servant.

The building

The facade is built of red, Franconia sandstone. The front gable on the roof shows the double coat of arms of Count Johann Reinhard III. and his wife, Dorothea Friederike of Brandenburg-Ansbach. Right and left, it is decorated with two allegorical female figures as a symbol of justice and peace. To the left the justice scale with their symbols, scepter and eagle with sword at her feet. To the right the peace with golden torch, book and the crane at his feet. The crane symbolizes vigilance and security. At the cast-iron balcony the colored, gilded coat of arms of Neustadt is attached with the year 1733.

The building expresses the self-confidence of the new town (Neustadt) founders, this very prestigious building, also built a symbol of their self-government, putting in the center of town.

Glockenspiel in the town hall tower

The town hall tower of the Neustädter Town Hall is a later addition from 1755 and received a clock and a carillon with 18 bells. During the reconstruction of the building after the Second World War, a carillon was also reinstalled. It plays daily at the given time the following works:

10:00 o'clock - The golden sun - Breakfast chorale by Johann Georg Ahle

12:00 o'clock - The music erkiest (comes from kiss) Who is - canon from op 45 II by Paul Hindemith

16:00 o'clock Minuet - Historical Hanauer set 1755

18:00 o'clock Gut'n evening gut'n evening to you all here beisamm (together)' - Volksweise (folk tune) 1860

Destruction and Reconstruction

The Neustädter Town Hall was destroyed in the bombing raids of World War II up to the perimeter walls. In the 60s of the 20th Century in and around the historic building was built a new town hall. The city council was using until 1964 Philippsruhe Castle temporarily. For the new City Hall the preserved facade parts and enclosing walls of the historic building have been restored and reused. In contrast to the pre-war situation, in which the town hall a in the closed row of buildings of the north side of the market place integrated construction was, it was now surrounded with free-and U-shaped new administrative buildings at that time usual, factual exposed aggregate concrete style with flat roofs. The baroqueized roof extension of these modern office buildings followed only twenty years later.

CD Connection Piece

The suspended ceiling is locate in the connection piece drywall profile accessories which is the main profile connecting material.

Firstly connection piece, over 3m in suspended ceilings Main profiles are attach to each other with the insert. Fittings are mount through channels of two main profiles.

The feature of the insert is treat as the main profile-binding material and allows it to work together.

Mounting, Installation

Another point to be consider in the installation of the insert is that the insertion points must be mount to each other in the places where they are mount.

The reason for this is that while the insert parts allow the main profiles to work together, the connection point is weak in carrying the load. For this, the insertion points are extent over the suspended ceiling.

I've fixed it so the large (and original) size is available on all the recent iris shots. I urge you to pick at least one and check it out. It's why I love macro so much, there really is another world in there that you can not see in the small version of the shots and definately not see with the naked eye.
