Whilst we were relieved to find our hotel in Amreli accepted foreigners, the alarm to head back to the station for the 06:25 departure after what had been an almost 24 hour day was less welcome. YDM4 no.6338 did its best to keep us awake, providing much entertainment over the two hour journey to Visavadar Junction as daylight broke on our second morning in India.
Although not timetabled to connect, the morning train from Amreli to Junagadh Junction often meets the first departure off Junagadh Jn to Delvada and many passengers do make the connection. Train no.09532 07:15 Junagadh Jn to Delvada is in the hands of YDM4 no.6565, the only class member we saw in this attractive blue livery and is seen awaiting departure from Visavadar Jn. Classmate YDM4 no.6338 has detached from the stock of train no.09539 06:25 from Amreli and is in the process of running round in preparation to depart for Junagadh Junction on 2nd November 2022.

The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place my touch will be felt.

"The Angler is a dreadful sight to behold. Armed to the teeth it is an omen of death. Besides the four visible weapons attached the the lower fins, it packs four powerful lasers in the upper storage compartment and a twin barrel plasma launcher in it's maw. Piloted by the pirates of the Space Marine clan a meeting outside Space Police territory is rarely a pleasant one."
As I've previously pointed out I really dislike the large quater disk Lego pieces from the theme U.F.O. However, their size, shape and few and hard to use connection points makes them the perfect pieces for challenging my LEGO skills. And so I once more set out to test my skills in an epic battle of wits, creativity and stamina! (Or rather: Sticking pieces randomly together seeing what comes up)
Initially I wanted to build a two/three part spaceship using the disks as engines, but once I stuck the two disk together I immediately saw the face of a fish. Being transparent I thought I could still turn it into a fish shaped spaceship. Three days later this is the result.
I must say I'm really liking the overall look, it's play features and sturdiness. On other hand I have yet to find a satisfying solution to the rear, behind the storage compartments... Hopefully I will find a good solution eventually. :-)
What do you think of it? I'm keen on hearing your opinions and suggestions :-)
Part of a photo project I am doing, this is one of a series of shots portraying emotion. D750 80-200 f2.8 48" octabox
I have several pics to play with and probably upload from my D90, but this is one shot I took with my Note 4 at the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia. If you haven't seen this bridge, but can get there someday, do it! It's pretty impressive to see in person. The architecture of the bridge just draws your eyes to it immediately.
There is a welcome center right beside the bridge where there are multiple places to see the bridge from overlooks. Be ready to walk a lot of steps to get to the overlook that this shot was taken from! The info at the bridge says that a Washington Monument and two Statue of Liberty's could be stacked on top of each other and there would still be 20 feet to spare to reach the bridge from the river below. I've been to "Bridge Day" at this bridge where they close one side of the bridge to allow for foot traffic, and they allow BASE jumpers to jump and parachute to a landing area below. So, next time you're in southern West Virginia, be sure to stop and check this bridge out!
Crystal Radios are a blast and they are so basic, but they need decent connections for everything to work.
I went to Salisbury Cathedral today to photograph the Reflection: Glass Exhibition
