UPDATE: I feel better now.
Also, remember the "Adam and Amanda" issue? Well I decided to confront Adam. Complications came in when my boyfriend told a close friend of ours about it. Lets call him Matt. So now Matt knows and the story is messier because it turns out Matt's new girlfriend that we are yet to meet (the boys only introduce the girls to the group if they are serious about them) could be the girl we saw Adam with. Dun dun dunnnnnn .... she apparently drives the same car and lives in the same area so umm ... yea I rest my case there.
Question: When you get older do you deal with less drama?
HPPT guys xoxo

Let's make the world a better place, one child at a time!
I walked along the Gilets Jaunes on Saturday as they were swarming the streets of Paris to protest for the 10th weekend in a row.
We started on the Champs-Élysées, strolled down Avenue Marceau, and crossed the Pont de l’Alma. That’s where I said goodbye as the Gilets Jaunes continued their march towards Les Invalides.
The protests I observed were peaceful, unlike prior weekends and the demonstrations that took place outside of Paris that day. But shattered safety windows, boarded storefronts, defaced buildings, and security shutters rolled down were noticeable throughout the city.
As with the government shutdown in the United States, there are no easy answers - with unrealistic expectations on both sides.
This photograph was taken on Rue Saint Honore. Thank you for taking the time to look at, comment on, and fave my photographs.
"Then they came to the seat of Morgoth in his nethermost hall that was upheld by horror, lit by fire, and filled with weapons of death and torment. There Beren slunk in wolf's form beneath his throne; but Luthien was stripped of her disguise by the will of Morgoth, and he bent his gaze upon her."
I was reading the story of Beren and Lúthien in the Silmarillion for the first time as I built this, fittingly, and I’m really excited with the way my unlightbox worked in the photography session. Basically I made a dark box with light only coming in through a thick blanket on top, and from the front, but I also put a light in the back to make Melkor stand out against the light grey because otherwise he would get lost; and this way he stands out as the only thing in shadows.
This is my entry to the Semifinals of MELO, and an entry to the Summer Joust. The category was Evil, and for the Summer Joust I had to build a Scene of Light and Shadows, contrasting the lives of two beings in a single scene. What could be more evil than the thought of the fallen Vala, a design more dark than any that had yet come into his heart since he fled from Valinor? And what better contrast than that of the fairest of all the Children of Ilúvatar, with the very form of Evil, the author of discord and darkness?
I hope you like it! The picture was a lot of work, I stayed up all night working on this, haha. To God be the glory!

If you’re like me, confronting some of nature’s harsher realities comes with a mixture of emotions. I am readily astonished by the sheer power and statuesque beauty of a lioness in her prime, confident and dauntless, yet not brazen or uncalculating. The doleful appearance of the young warthog, innocent and undeserving of such a brutal fate, hangs lifeless from clutches of the lion’s jaw. Understandably, the anguish it portends turns away many a gaze. I cannot offer sage words to make these events more palatable, for trite aphorisms offer but a fleeting remedy, at best. It is, after all, our humanity that causes this dysphoria, this disequilibrium of senses. To deny it is to deny our own humanness. So, gaze if you will and take heed that the more uneasy you feel, the more human you are. The world would be a better place if we could apply that same sensitivity to everything and everyone around us. #Lion

You have your shot lined up. A chime whistle sounds in the distance, and the object of your desire accelerates into view ... just as a GBRF train coasts inexorably around the curve in the opposite direction. I’m not a real spotter of course, or I would have this info beamed to me in real-time etc. I can’t even tell you the number of the 66! It was funny afterwards, being unexpectedly confronted by so many containers, and not steam specials. Last but one of The Aberdonian’s first season, so I should have got them out of my system by then!

“Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. Use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength.” August Wilson
Most lionesses reproduce by the time they are four years of age. Lions do not mate at a specific time of year and the females are polyestrous. The average gestation period is around 110 days; the female gives birth to a litter of between one and four cubs in a secluded den, which may be a thicket, a reed-bed, a cave, or some other sheltered area, usually away from the pride. She will often hunt alone while the cubs are still helpless, staying relatively close to the den. Lion cubs are born blind - their eyes open around seven days after birth. They weigh 1.2 - 2.1 kg (2.6 - 4.6 lb) at birth and are almost helpless, beginning to crawl a day or two after birth and walking around three weeks of age.
Usually, the mother does not integrate herself and her cubs back into the pride until the cubs are six to eight weeks old. Sometimes this introduction to pride life occurs earlier, particularly if other lionesses have given birth at about the same time. When first introduced to the rest of the pride, lion cubs lack confidence when confronted with adults other than their mother. They soon begin to immerse themselves in the pride life, however, playing among themselves or attempting to initiate play with the adults.
The Queen of the Black Rock Pride was seen walking her cubs away from the commotion of the rest of the pride feeding on the nights successful Buffalo hunt. Captured during a photography safari on an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya.

The Spirit Drove Jesus
“The Spirit drove Jesus into the desert.” HE was to confront evil head on and that was his mission. The Kingdom of God, as represented by his very presence was a lightning rod for evil. Jesus would conquer this evil in the desert, but as we know, evil would be his constant and violent companion all the way to the cross. In our short reading from the Gospel of John, Jesus is struggling against two powerful currents or forces. One is on a universal level, God’s plan (our Salvation History) is rolling forth and the second involves Jesus’s choice on whether to participate in this plan or not. Since we feel helpless against the larger forces in our lives, I want on focus on Jesus’ personal denial to temptation-because HIS example is our example… where we make an intimate connection to the unfolding story of our salvation.
The next question would be what compels us to make such a choice? The Holy Spirit drives us to!
Lent is where the Church creates an opportunity for each of us (like Jesus) to enter a space… a wilderness or desert (a quiet place where the only distractions are our thoughts and feelings.) Not a place outside of us, but one within us…where we humbly go and confront who we really are. Where we have a dialogue with the good and bad tendencies within us. Where we can freely choose to offer up our spiritual sacrifices…a weakness, a temptation, or habit that permanently changes us in the course of forty days. It is moving past these internal voices and whispers that we encounter our God.
Because the Holy Spirit is our constant companion, evil is conquered and replaced by something good like praying a daily rosary, reading scripture or helping someone. The end result is that “I” decrease…so Jesus shines through what I do and say.
Something I want to stress though, is that even when we say yes to God, bad things will still happen to us. Whether on a global level or on an individual level…evil will affect us…the difference for a believer is that we are not orphaned, and we still have peace in our suffering.
My mother and I have been reading Dante’s Divine Comedy for many years now. We have spent a lot of time in purgatory (what Dante called Purgatorio.) I must admit purgatory seems like a perilous place especially when the images are taken from Dante. We don’t give the subject of purgatory much attention these days. However, I must admit, that it does seem like a very long lent-taken seriously. Then a reality sets in… that life on earth gives us the same opportunity to purge those defects that we stubbornly cling too. The goal of Lent and Purgatory seems to have the same purpose. We are struggling to be that person created in the image of God, that very image that God sees in us, but our false self to often gets in the way.
In another book that I have been reading Dante’s Divine Comedy, a guide for a spiritual journey by Mark Vernon, he says:
“The Desert Fathers and Mothers of the early Christian centuries did something similar when they entered the wilderness and simultaneously entered an inner landscape, to discover their own torments, frailty, temptations, demons. Like Dante, they needed to travel not so as to escape themselves but to encounter themselves. Without the distractions of the world, the contents of their minds became clearer. It was a necessary preparation for catching sight of God.”
Isn’t it interesting, that contemporary culture is also sending the message that participating in religion is unhealthy-we shouldn’t be saddled with guilt and shame. We are encouraged to walk away and forget about sin. Their message is clear, our ego should be given free reign to seek out its own truth and happiness…unhinged from church institutions and their traditions -to float about in the myriad of choices that fail to satisfy. The result is that we seem to be “strangers in a strange land.”
In summary, one truth we cannot deny is that each of us will “pass away” one day. What we take with us is what we love, whether it be good or bad. Our “active participation” in Lent intensifies our efforts to live a holy life, and with the companionship of the Spirit we realize Jesus is with us to lighten the load. Jesus does not leave us alone, in addition he’s given us a model to follow in observing lent (a going into the desert experience)...the Holy Spirit drives us towards HIM. Let us turn our hearts to HIM now.
Daredevil has always had a very special place in my heart, whether it's the Netflix show or the character himself. So finally seeing him on the big screen in No Way Home was a dream come true!
It was that moment that drove me to build this MOC, also thank god we finally have an official Daredevil figure! Hope you enjoy, more detailed photos soon

The Grade I Listed Pembroke Castle, the original family seat of the Earldom of Pembroke. It is a medieval Linear castle as it is a castle designed to confront its attackers with a series of barriers/impediments in a line. In Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, South Wales.
In 1093 Arnulf of Montgomery built the first castle at the site when he fortified the promontory beside the Pembroke River during the Norman invasion of Wales. A century later, the castle was given by Richard I to William Marshal, who became one of the most powerful men in 12th-century Britain. He rebuilt Pembroke in stone creating most of the structure that remains today.
It 1648 during the Second English Civil War it was the centre of the Siege of Pembroke. Colonel Horton marched his 3,000 troops west to Tenby and laid siege to Tenby Castle which was held by about 500 Royalists under command of Colonel Rice Powell. Oliver Cromwell later arrived with further troops, leaving Horton with enough men to deal with Powel, Cromwell marched the rest of the army to lay siege to Pembroke.
When Tenby Castle was stormed Powel was taken prisoner, but Pembroke Castle, under command of General Rowland Laugharne and John Poyer, was a strong medieval fortress which could not be taken as quickly. It stood on a rocky promontory surrounded on three sides by the sea, and on the landward side its defences consisted of a deep ditch and walls up to 20 feet (6.1 m) thick.
Ships carrying siege artillery to Cromwell were forced back up the Bristol Channel to Gloucester by storms, so Cromwell tried a frontal assault. It failed because the ladders used to escalade the walls were too short. The defenders managed to surprise the besiegers in a sudden sortie, killing thirty of the besiegers and damaging the circumvallation. The siege guns arrived in mid-June but over the next month they made little impact on the thick curtain walls.
Eventually, the siege ended when Cromwell's forces discovered the conduit pipe which delivered water to the castle and cut off the defenders' water supply. Poyer and Laugharne were forced to surrender on 11 July.
Cromwell then ordered the castle slighted so that it could never again be used as a military fortress. Laugharne, Poyer and Powell were taken to London, tried and sentenced to death, but Poyer alone was executed on 25 April 1649, being the victim selected by lot.
Major restoration took place during the early 20th century, the castle it is open to the public and is the largest privately-owned castle in Wales.

A atrium designed by Michael Graves serves as a connection point for several pre-existing buildings. Graves has woven them together in an attractive and creative way.
Working on a budget vinyl floors were used in place of marble, stucco in place of stone but the effect is rich and elegant.

As many of you know I love Castle building, it's so easy to pack in detail with that theme, which is why it's one of my favourite things to do when building. So Castle and Marvel in the one vig? Why not! I've had the Doom figure lying around since I bought the set it came in, so what's that... 2013? Man 5 years now. Anyway yes super glad I finally got to use this figure in a MOC. For me collecting figs is fun, it's nice to have them sure, but it's only worth it when I can put them in a MOC. So I used this MOC as a way to display some other figs that I have yet to come up with concepts for MOC's to put them in. The Sentry figure is from bigkidbrix, if you are wondering ;)
But yeah, love building throne rooms like this, makes me want to do more, it was great fun to combine two of my favourite themes in the one vig like this. Would love to do it again!
