I was looking for a shot of a projector for a presentation I'm doing, and I couldn't find one. Ended up making my own. Found that was much more fun than using someone else's in this case.

At my last workplace, my favorite meeting room had windows along one wall which let in sunlight. Out of frame to the right was a projection screen which dropped down out of the ceiling, when commanded. There was also a projector attached to the ceiling and out of frame.
In some workplaces, people dread going to meetings. I would say, "I was fortunate to spend many hours in this room." There are not many workplaces where one could say that about a conference room. I enjoyed countless catered lunches served during meetings. They deliberately varied the menu. Vegan Thai food one week. Tuna sandwiches on croissants the next. Lasagna and Cesar salad another. "Pizza? Thanks." Peanut butter sandwiches or Froot Loops would've been ok. Leadership would sit close to the head of the table at right. The rest of us would, "get in where we fit in," as a coworker used to say.
At some meetings, I sat next to this man who was older than I. He always wore a suit and necktie. He was friendly. People seemed to know him. Someone would be speaking and he'd lean over and ask (about the speaker), "Who's this guy?" "That's [so-and-so], he's a policy expert on [blah-blah-blah]," I'd answer. He was involved with work I considered vitally important. One day he came in beaming and reporting a technology he had created had been licensed to a concern in China. About five years after we met, he died. I went to a memorial service the employer had set up. I was surprised to find it was an auditorium with maybe 200-300 people. People got up on a stage and related the man's accomplishments or some fun anecdote. I was very grateful for his friendship.
After some rounds of budget cuts, the catering vaporized. The organization shifted from teams working to accomplish mission goals to being a spreadsheet cell. "Bon voyage!" said Chuck.
…When things went right, [General Eisenhower] praised his subordinates and made sure they got the praise. When things went wrong, he took the blame. Not many Presidents have done that — and few generals.

Located on 43rd street, between First and Second avenues, the Ford Foundation building is a hidden gem in New York. It is a one of a kind building. It was built in 1967 by the firm of Roche-Dinkeloo and includes a large indoors garden in its atrium, designed to provide an accessible urban greenspace to all. For OHNY, former employees of the Foundation came back to their workplace to lead visitors through the conference rooms and the unique Board Room, where most of the Foundation grants used to be passed. The offices at the Foundation remain furnished with their original furniture and the Foundation will keep it this way for a little while: extra supplies of everything have been stored to provide for future refurbishments at the time the offices were built. It was the first time that visitors had access to these usually restricted areas and could witness a space that has kept its 70’s feel.
