AFGE activists travel to Washington, DC for the union's annual Legislative Conference. Attendees hear from lawmakers Sen. Tim Kaine, Rep. Brenda Lawrence, and Rep. Val Demings. Attendees also heard from Will Fischer of VoteVets. During the Civil Rights Luncheon attendees heard from Carmen Berkley of Planned Parenthood and Cecelie Counts of the AFL-CIO.

Governor Kay Ivey gave remarks at the KultureCity Press Conference Tuesday August 3, 2021 in Montgomery, Ala. The KultureCity’s sensory inclusive program is designed to help individuals with sensory needs like PTSD, autism, dementia, strokes, and ADHD, to help them feel comfortable and better understood within their community. The goal of the company is to provide professional training, sensory bags, and signage, which enables the program to help and ensure all individuals are accepted and better received regardless of the situation. This program ensures the best first responder encounter for those with sensory needs as these individuals can demonstrate some behaviors that may seem suspicious or disrespectful towards authority. KultureCity aims to provide insight and as much information as possible concerning individuals with sensory disorders while simultaneously giving first responders a way to defuse a situation resulting in a positive outcome. The 2024 Connections Leadership Conference was held 15-16 November at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI. This was the first time since 2019 the event was hosted away from the Central Michigan University Campus.

Margaret Wilmoth speaks to the audience at the Deployment Health Assessment Program leader conference at the U.S. Army Reserve Command headquarters at Fort Bragg, N.C., Sept. 12, 2013. Lobbying agencies, think tanks, and advocacy groups are everywhere in Washington, DC. Some of these institutions are aligned with bipartisan efforts toward regulation and the public good, while others represent pure business interests; still others have mastered the dark arts of covert campaign financing. Classifying these disparate institutions is next to impossible. Despite this elusiveness, they all are finally situated at real places behind mirrored facades, between neoclassical columns, or nestled in office parks. Parallelograms (2015) is concerned with this world parallel to our own. The project operates at the intersection of geography, landscape, economy, and the United States' culture of political gridlock. Steve Rowell’s installation comprises a looped video projection, a large-scale map, and a text written by Brian Holmes.

The 16th edition of the iPRES 2019 conference took place in from 16 through 20 September 2019 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and was hosted by the Dutch Digital Heritage Network.
iPRES is the premier and longest-running conference series on digital preservation. Since 2004, there have been annual iPRES conferences in rotation around the globe on four continents. iPRES brings together 300-400 scientists, students, researchers, archivists, librarians, providers, and other experts to share recent developments, innovative projects and to collaboratively solve problems.

Conference was opened by Alliance party President, Cllr Billy Webb, who welcomed delegates and special guests. The conference continued with a panel discussion “For Everyone - Alliance Blueprint for a Shared Future” For Everyone overview, Housing, Integrated Education and Shared Space . The panel was chaired by Chris Lyttle, MLA & OFMdFM Vice Chair other speakers included Judith Cochrane, MLA, Trevor Lunn, MLA and Cllr Maire Hendron. A shared future and me discussion introduced by Stewart Dickson, MLA, Chief Whip the panel included Kathleen Ireton, Stephen Donnelly, Stephen Donnan (members), Cllr Laura McNamee. Dr Stephen Farry,MLA, Minister for Employment & Learning spoke of the challenges ahead in developing skills for the future employment. Mr Simon Hughes, MP, Deputy Leader Liberal Democrats was a fraternal speaker from Westminster. Naomi Long, MP, give her Deputy Leaders’ speech and introduced the party leader with great applause from delegates. David Ford, MLA, Minister for Justice & Party Leader acknowledged the applause from delegates before delivering his party leaders speech.
