For Looking Close…on Friday, a view of my spice rack. Nothing fancy, I’ve had this spice rack for over 50 years. Of course, the spices themselves are much more current than the rack! Many spice containers have come and gone in those years! 😀🌶

Saturday Self Challenge - Still life in colour.

95. Still life composition.
A selection of condiments in sachets, taken on my first visit to the pub since the easing of lockdown restrictions.
These are commonly found condiments used in Asia cooking. The Indians, Malaysia, Thais, Chinese, etc definitely have a dish that uses these.
Again after work,when picking up the kids at my in law house, I ask for some condiments and I got these.
Came home and put them into a small sauce dish and took this shot.

I used a little 6cm wide bowl with red pepper and Golden Milk which is a spice mix containing Turmeric, Ginger, Pepper, Nutmeg, Cardamom and Cinnamon. It had the right colour. I had to use a brush to get the spice mix into a line the way I envisioned it. More problematic was the reflective nature of the bowl. Had to photoshop the camera out which was in the reflection.
