The avenue through the garden is No Man's Land, you walk the path of the dead. A place for reflection on the terror of war.
It started off as an abstract but always, always, the mind seeks to find meaning. It's a struggle to keep any creation purely abstract, I find.
Made these in an attempt to visualize the world I've been developing for a book I'd like to write one day. It's more fun to build LEGO than draw concept art.
From left to right they are: a Royal Soldier, a merchant, a farmer, a milk maid, a book keeper, a sea captain, and an innkeeper.
Also, a note on my absence: I haven't lost interest in LEGO or anything like that, I've just been focusing more on brickfiming lately and haven't really had that much inspriation to MOC. School theater has been keeping me busy, too.
A bunch of old tablescraps again; trying to decide on a head design I'm happy with. In the meantime, here's a photo.
A Space Police Concept model - first shown in Brick Journal a few years back. This one was the first loop of amalgamation of ideas from the other sketch models. Too squat and compact though, and no room for a prison pod so it all spread out a bit, but you can see the beginning of the Space Police side of Hyperspeed Pursuit here.
This is the last of the SP3 concepts for now.
A concept car back in 1934 at the Berlin Motor Show. Designed as a high-speed highway cruiser, the Autobahnkurier could travel at speeds of up to 115 mph. This graceful Benz is the only one in existence and a deserved winner of the top prize.
From the book The Art of The Last Jedi. Don't get me wrong, I really loved the movie. But I do have a few design preferences I would've changed.
Like the bomber: The long tube designs look great, retain both the WW2 vibe and the 70s sci-fi look. The decision to go vertical is fine but it feels like it ended up a compromise, the end shape being a right angle square. A tad too goofy for me. At least keep the wings wide: it offers a larger target and suggests a tightrope walker balancing.
What do you people think? Like? Dislike? Meh?
A general purpose two-person EVA unit, commonly used to construct, inspect or repair sections of the ISS-B.
Work boats sported second-generation manipulator arms, tentacles more precisely; the biomechanical design was found to be superior to the older jointed boom arms as the tentacle's algorithms would find the best route to the grasp point and also be capable of reaching through complex station beamwork. In effect, the workers could remain stationary with the arms found it's own way to it's target point.

Wikipedia: ASC McLaren Convertible 1984/86: ASC (American Sunroof Corporation, now known as American Specialty Cars) converted Capris into convertibles and enhanced standard hatchbacks which they renamed coupé with headlight and taillight covers and honey comb wheels imported from Campagnolo in Italy. The convertibles were a far more involved project. This required the redesigning of the car's unit construction and the fabrication of a replacement rear deck lid, floor reinforcements, quarter panel caps, tonneau cover and a windshield that was raked back an extra 10 degrees. They received a manual convertible top that took up residence in the area once designated for the rear seats. The ASC McLaren convertibles use a smaller top than the Ford Mustang convertible that is unique to that car, as are the seals, weather stripping, windshield moldings, etcetera. Only 290 coupes and 557 convertibles were built during its 1984-1986 production run.
This Formula-style concept car was constructed using parts exclusively from the Mini Vespa, Set #40517 and a pick a brick cup bought at my local Lego store. The limitation on parts led to a lot of creative solutions. Overall I am very pleased with the shaping. Watch out for more mocs using the same pieces as these are all I have at the moment :)

I have done at least 20 versions of this and can't choose between what I want so i'm leaving it at this.
I made an account for all the high-res concept art I've collected for my desktop backgrounds. I only have a few pictures uploaded so far, but I'll be uploading more in the coming weeks/months and as I add more to my collection.
Its mostly spaceships and environments, with some robots and other stuff thrown in. Feel free to use for your own desktop backgrounds or for inspiration for LEGO builds.
Yes, it’s a photo of a TV screen, but I quite like the effect, almost appearing to be a negative image. Camera post-processing was simple conversion to monochrome.
Hopefully an ongoing project that I'll be working on, which is creating Hero Factory set concepts. All parts are created digitally using CAD software, so technically the custom pieces could be produced in reality, as I've tried to ensure they have sensible shapes and thicknesses.
You can read more and find other figures (in the future) here.
September 28, 2014 saw the long-awaited grand opening and dedication of the Cadillac & LaSalle Museum at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. General Motors brought the 2003 Cadillac Sixteen concept car to the grand opening and it drew lots of attention. Weighing 5000 lbs., the car is powered by a 13.6 liter 32 valve V-16 engine producing 1000 horsepower at full displacement. However, "displacement on demand" technology is used to operate on either four or eight cylinders when full power is not needed.

The start of a new commission. This will be interesting as it is playset scale, so I have to pack in a bunch of detail into a limited space.
Any ideas what it might be?
