Concentration: Contour line drawn figues with bold bright color and geometric shapes, triangles. Contour line drawn figues with bold bright color and geometric shapes, triangles
I made this piece intended to be a second piece to my owl, unity piece. I really like the style and the turn out of the owl so i tried to attempt again. But this time i added in myself as the main subject. I used the same style as the previous piece with brightly colored geometric shapes and triangles. I think i can keep creating these "indie like" pieces and create many to end up with a successful concentration
This picture is taken on a camp of the school I work. I worked at a school for childeren with heavy behaviour and educational problems. (I hope I'm translating that term correct from Dutch).
This guy had been quite hyperactive for almost 36 hours in a row (with only 3 hours of sleep) and this was the first time I saw him do something calm. He was in total concentration, trying to make the largest bubble he could. This was the result! :)
Actually I had another imagination of this shot. I wanted some shilloute heads in the front and the girls in the back with their emotional faces and the whole in a dark black/white. But well it turned out as it is..

The celtic harp is quite rare in Malta, I think... so seeing somebody playing it in the middle of Republic Street in Valletta is quite unusual.
What struck me most about this guy is his concentration on his playing - though there were quite some people taking pictures of him he never took his eyes off his fingers.
A view inside the concentration camp of Dachau, Germany.
This photo is uploaded on January 27th - the day of liberation of the Auschwitz death camp, as well as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
In memory of 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and in memory of my grandmother who survived Auschwitz, and passed away on October 2006.

My original image for this concentration just contained the ball with the golf course in the background but after collaboration with others, I decided on reshooting it with a golf course being included in the image to add more content to the image. My concept behind this image spawned from me trying to come up with more diverse brands for my concentration so my concentration would be more unique. The problems I had with this image was having to shoot it fast because during the day people are constantly golfing and I didn't want to get in the way of people games plus it could be dangerous.
In the "Suckot" market, this orthodox jew is concentrating on the examination of a ceremonial citron while others are debating the quality of the virgin palm branch.
I think when people feel anxiety it shows through their hands by tapping, scratching ect. So I wrote words that I associate with anxiety and then drew a hand over it.
Concentration:
Pilates demands intense focus. For instance, the inner thighs and pelvic floor may be accessed when doing a standing exercise that tones the triceps. The beginner learns to pay careful attention to their body, building on very small, delicate fundamental movements and controlled breathing. In 2006, at the Parkinson Center of the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland , the concentration factor of the Pilates method was being studied in providing relief from the degenerative symptoms of Parkinson's disease .[1]
I would like to tell you this was taken during a deep and serious moment of prayer..... nope!!
He had taken his dad's sunglasses, put them on his head and was flipping his head back and forth rapidely as the glasses were flying back and forth from chin to forehead, until they flew off in some random direction... only to be retreaved and action repeated.
Ok, I admit I was laughing pretty hard at this one too!
We looked after my daughter's kitten this weekend. I thought she would be an easy subject to photograph, but she's either asleep or moving at warp speed. Luckily whatever was happening on the other side of the window had her memorised long enough to get a shot.
This was my second image for the concentration representing the St Anthony "Tau" cross. This is a T shaped cross that can be found in the form of lettering and in street signs. In particular, this is found a lot because of how prevalent stop signs are and their street counterparts that go along with them. I used contrast here and color interaction between the white of the lettering and the black of the pavement. I wanted to make the cross really pop out and the best way to do that was to increase the contrast so that the white was more prominent. I did not have too many issues with this composition.
