This Common Goldeneye hen popped up along the ice edge after feeding on the bottom of the Rideau River in Ottawa.

There was only a small channel of fast-running open water beneath the pedestrian bridge after the several days of deep freeze we've been having.

The angle was steep as I was shooting between the bars of the bridge railing (I didn't trust the ice below).

What an intense look on the face of this Balinese musician. The indigenous music is gamelan, a very energetic and complicated

style that has many tempo changes. The players need to exhibit " school of fish" talents, the ability to move through the music as a totally integrated group. This was taken during a massive ceremony at the famous Lempuyang temple compex high in the eastern hills of Bali.

Snatched moments from a lovely afternoon, the lighting wasn't great but I'm happy with how well the lens handled it

What's this? If I didn't know better, I'd say Daisy might be a tad miffed at having to do the vacuuming after a hard day at work. If so, she had better think again. After all, I could have put her to work in her corset and maid uniform. 😉

It's nice to visit grandpa and read an old Donald Duck from 1966

I love watching the kids when they are painting their Warhammer models, they get so immersed in it.

There were several herons alongside the canal between Altrincham and Stockton Heath - or one very flighty one! They seemed used to passers-by as this one flew up but only when I got very close. It then landed a few yards behind me.

Camilla concentrating on a pigeon in the tree.

She remained frozen in this position for several minutes so it was a very easy and quick iPhone shot for me! Feel almost guilty it has gained so much praise!

Camilla (Millie) was hand reared by me after being found with her dead mum and dead siblings when only 2-3 days old.

Millie and her brother George were the only two still alive. They are both now big strong healthy (and very happy) adult cats and both live with me and my other cats. :)

Concentration

Osprey -- Cape May, NJ

This guy was watching the Earth Wind & Fire gig with rapt concentration. I think he enjoyed it, but as he hardly moved and showed no emotion it was hard to tell...

The descent from Becca di Gay summit on it's south face needs a lot of concentration because it's steep and exposed
