This Common Goldeneye hen popped up along the ice edge after feeding on the bottom of the Rideau River in Ottawa.
There was only a small channel of fast-running open water beneath the pedestrian bridge after the several days of deep freeze we've been having.

What an intense look on the face of this Balinese musician. The indigenous music is gamelan, a very energetic and complicated
style that has many tempo changes. The players need to exhibit " school of fish" talents, the ability to move through the music as a totally integrated group. This was taken during a massive ceremony at the famous Lempuyang temple compex high in the eastern hills of Bali.

Camilla (Millie) was hand reared by me after being found with her dead mum and dead siblings when only 2-3 days old.
Millie and her brother George were the only two still alive. They are both now big strong healthy (and very happy) adult cats and both live with me and my other cats. :)
