Our 6 year old grandson enjoys doing things on the computer.

Cluttered area that I want to fit all of the computers into.

18/365: A crash day, but I thought about how I wanted to reorganize the computer room a little bit.

Had some major computer issues starting last night, so when we took my desktop apart I decided to snap a few quick pics.

"To err is human--and to blame it on a computer is even more so." ~ Robert Orben

Since I'm in IT, I'm very familiar with people blaming everything on a computer. But computers can allow you to have magic. I'm grateful to have Photoshop to experiment and see colors blooom. The same delight that I experienced when I developed my very first film can occur each time I open Photoshop!

This is the visual representation of my computer mouse cursor over 24 hours.

The lines show movement while the circles show periods of inactivity.

The two large black circles are where I left my computer on over night. I suspect there are two because the cleaner moved the mouse.

You can create your own by downloading the Java file from the creators site: www.doorsixteen.com/2010/02/05/my-mouse-path/

I tutor one-on-one computer usage classes at Lakes Regional Library as a volunteer. I'm called a Computer Coach, and this is my "classroom".

The first centralized computer system at the Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire was in this room, the Data Processing Center, where the computing power was provided by large Burroughs mainframe computers. Burroughs was founded in 1886 as the American Arithmometer Company, and was one of the main competitors in the computer market during the 60's. This photo was taken in 1969.

Ever since the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire opened its doors in 1916 as the Eau Claire State Normal School, technology has played an important role in the education of generations of students. This album illustrates how technology has changed, from typewriters to computers, from records to reel-to-reel tape, and everything in between.

The department of Computer Science constructed this impressive boat. Unfortunately, it didn’t do well on the pond and the team struggled to the finish line.

Photos showing impressions of the Ars Electronica Garden Bucharest "Lost Interferences" by Proiect 2 (RO), Rezidența BRD Scena9 (RO), UNATC IL Caragiale – CINETic Centre (RO), CCRMA (RO).

We lose objects.

We lose information.

We continually lose.

We lose friends. We lose dear ones.

We lose hope, cells, memory, and futures.

We sometimes get desperate, we sometimes get lonely when we lose something.

Through the participatory installation Lost Interferences we collect feelings on loss. Using a deep neural network algorithm, we share those feelings as sound information.

In a collective action, Constantin Basica, from the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics at Stanford (CCRMA), and Romeo Cornelius and Maia Morgenstern, from Residence BRD Scena9 in Bucharest, will perform together in a virtual setting.

Telematic art is called to technologically heal our loss of body, our loss of senses, our loss of meaning.

Tuning into the lost interferences which were never heard, into our own lives, and into all the lost possibilities, the audience will join the performers into making sense of what we have lost.

We will emerge through a digitally connected body having gained a collective self.

Audience members will be able to virtually join the performance on the online platform or visit and participate in the installation on site in the Bucharest Garden.

This is my Office / Computer Room / Editing Work Station. There is now a Mac hooked up via a KVM to this as well, not pictured, because who the hell cares about a mac, it barely gets used, because I CAN DO EVERYTHING IT CAN DO AND BETTER ON MY PC. Why did I get a Mac? I have no idea? Garbage is what they are.

Dear designers! My computer finally gave in and will not load SL anymore :( I guess a 7 years old iMac finally took its toll. I wanted to notify to you that I am in process of getting a new computer and will return to blog as soon as I can!!!! Thank you!

Quick sketching of computer mice concepts, using pencil. I liked the idea of having a toggle (up and down) switch on the sides where the thumb may be positioned.
