TCO stands for Tactical Computerized Optic, and it features lock-on,radio transmitter and range finding.
Note that the lens are offset from eachother. The TCO uses similar system as in binoculars to achieve magnifying and have offset lens.
Note that the pockets are the reverse of the fabric. From Lee Andersen's website: The fabric is an exclusive Lee Andersen fabric design. It is made by the only company of its type remaining in America. The process begins by combining fluffy tufts of fiber to match Leeās original painting colors. The fibers for each color are then twisted into yarn like ārovingā and wound into giant barrels. The yarns are then guided to each stitch placement by an amazing computerized knitting machine. It āreadsā Leeās painting and knits thousands of precise stitches to create a soft wearable version of her original art. The garment itself is also sewn in Leeās studio in America.

Homographies is an interactive installation featuring robotic fluorescent light fixtures controlled by computerized surveillance systems. As people walk under the piece, the light tubes rotate to create labyrinthine patterns of light that are "paths" or "corridors" between them. In Homographies the "vanishing point" is not architectural, but rather connective, as it is determined by who is there at any given time and varies accordingly. This gives a reconfigurable light-space that is based on flow, on motion, on lines of sight.

I do not trust computerized voting machines which run trade-secret software on trade-secret hardware . Therefore i do not trust the result[s] of this recent election . I think that, [in many places, including Lehigh County, Pennsylvania], the election was conducted in a manner which violates Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution, which reads in part :
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government"
Looking up, "republic", in Black's Law Dictionary, (eighth edition), one reads :
"A form of government in which the people hold sovereign power and elect representatives who exercise that power."
It seems obvious to me that this guarantee cannot be made firm if the vote is recorded in a manner invisible to the voter, for counting in a manner invisible to the public . But it also seems that a constitutional argument, alone, is and has been insufficient to move [enough, (or the necessary),] politicians to act, to the best of their ability, to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and government by it, regarding this matter .
I invite the people of Allentown, PA --- and all American citizens who participated in this past election --- to voluntarily self-publish how we recall having voted ; so that our collected recollections can be compared to the election returns . And so that if it appears misrepresentation exists, [a class-action suit based upon our recollections, (firmed as signed affidavits), can be brought] challenging such returns . [To self-publish my vote] i used my facebook timeline, michaelcharlesyoung .

So much would have to be overcome for this to work . Inertia, resignation, disappointment, fatigue, habit ... cynicism, distrust, tribalism . All involved would have to show some courage, and some would have to show a lot, for enough people to leave our castled positions, (however well or poorly constructed), and come out in the open . And this effort may have to come together so very quickly in order to have a chance ...
Why try ?

I apologize for the photographic excess, the views from this place frankly blew me away. I'd need a gigapixel camera (or one of those expensive computerized panorama builders) to capture the view from up there.
Day 127 of 365 - On May 7th each year we celebrate "National Paste Up Day". This day is about remembering those times before desktop publishing and computerized digital imaging when newspapers, magazines and catalogs were compiled by hand and those that worked so tediously in their positions. Paste up refers to āa method of creating or laying out publication pagesā. A paste up artist was also known as a layout artist, mechanical artist, production artist or compositor. Part of the daily duties of the paste up artist would be to cut the type into sections and arrange it carefully across multiple columns. Headline and other typographic elements were often created and supplied separately by the typesetter, leaving it to the paste up artist to determine their final position on the page. Like everyone fresh out of school I thought I would walk into an agency as a Graphic Designer but my first job was as a typesetter, then as paste up artist, followed by the camera/stripper department (not the pole dance kind) before plate making became digital it was done by stripping the film into a mask to position for printing then was burned onto the plate, developed, mounted on the printing press and out came your printed piece! Finally after several years I received my dream job as a Graphic Designer, where I must say I was happy to stay. So in memory of the good old days "HAPPY NATIONAL PASTE UP DAY"!

This is the sort of thing us old timers used before computerized spell checkers, or as I like to call them "spill chuck" (that won't be flagged as a misspelling). This particular little book has been with me since my first year at university back in '63. It has served me well over all these years. It is literally starting to crumble due to the type of paper it was printed on.

Gone are the days when dashboards and controls were simplistic and classy in design. Today the modern Merc's dashboards are looking more like computerized control panels, which aren't cheap to replace when they become defective someday.
This is one of their main telescopes called SALT (Southern African Large Telescope). Inside there's high-end equipment working around the main workhorse circa 10 meter diameter matrix-mirror telescope. It' really a piece of technological art with all the endless sensors and computerized fine mechanics control to get those very sharp and detailed pictures from the deep Universe.
On the outside the smaller cone on the picture: on top of the tower is laser and other guiding equipment for 'adaptive-optics' technology used in nowadays astronomy to aid the main telescope inside the main dome. They help to focus and remove the atmospheric temperature change "wobbles" and considers other nuances that are extremely important for the inside-the-atmosphere observations (no wonder why Hubble Space Telescope gets so chrisply sharp images).

Other than the newer photocopier, much about the Women's Studies library reminds me of a library in the mid-80s. The collection database isn't fully computerized, and even the books need to be signed out on paper.

Boeing Lunar Roving Vehicle
The LRV looked more like a Jeep® or a dune buggy than a manned spacecraft, but with computerized navigation, a portable television system and other features, the vehicle was designed to meet the demands of lunar exploration. Special materials provided the LRV protection from lunar temperatures ranging from -250°F to 250°F. The Museum's LRV was built as an engineering mock-up.
Husqvarna Emerald 183 sewing machine.
Last week I bought a new sewing machine. It was an impromtu, but not impulsive purchase. I needed a new machine and had planned to buy a Husqvarna Viking machine since my mom and sister both have one. When the Husqvarna 4-hour truck event came to town, the prices and demos were so great that I couldn't pass it up.
The other news is that I finally figured out how to get my Applescript running so that I can automatically upload my photos to Flickr from iPhoto. I wrote this script to find the flagged photo in iPhoto, then use FlickrExport to upload it. I've set up a scheduled event in iCal that runs my Applescript. This means that I can prepare title, tags, and description in iPhoto during the day, flag the photo, and then let the upload happen automatically while I sleep. I also found a script from highearthorbit.com that works with exiftool to allow me to geotag the photo, but these XMP geotags seem to cause FlickrExport to hang iPhoto, causing me to force quit.
Next I plan to figure out how to pre-determine the photo's sets and groups so that FlickrExport can automatically add the photo to the appropropriate photostreams.
So I pick up a 2017 Dodge Durango at the rental place, an overly computerized vehicle to be sure, the displays looked like something out of Star Trek. The Dodge develops a fault, so I returned it for a replacement. First time I've gotten a pickumup. This was a fun beast to drive, analogue dials too, and it fit right in in rural Ohio...

The scope features a Sidereal Technology drive system from Dan Gray, using an innovative clutch system. The scope moves wonderfully by hand, conceding nothing to the computerized drive system. The hand motion is described as buttery soft. The drive system uses inverted belts. Batteries are located behind the primary. There's also a primary mirror baffle located just in front of the primary mirror. The routed azimuth rim took three tries with the router in order to achieve the desired accuracy.

The bus system here is slowly improving.. VIP offer a service from Mukdahan to Mae Sot or Chiang Mai.. passing through Kalasin, Khon Kaen & Pitsanulok.. they use big new coaches which have a small passenger compartment on the lower level with big comfortable seats.. they have a computerized booking system ..that seems to work!..
The days, or nights of June have been busy days, despite of rain and clouds. There have been useless nights with skies completely covered with clouds. But sometimes, after the rain, the sky becomes pretty clear.
And no, I'm not sleeping outdoors. That's an hermetic tent, and it is where I'd put the scope, 'just in case' of rain.
