Finished 2006. I did this one while Fred was hiding behind the sofa. My first, and probably only, computer-generated chart. I really don't like it very much - the colours don't blend very well and it's very bitty.

portableNeurosis.perfectionism a painting drawn with a brush made of text. phrases - pulled from expressions related to perfectionist thinking - change quickly; colors about every minute to two minutes (depending on the small computer's performance). color palettes are written to shift across an 8-hour loop. since randomness is written into the brushtrokes, no two 'plays' of the work will provide the same result. it will be a new neurotic expression of perfectionism each day.

This is a photograph that has been processed into a computer generated watercolor. I like the effects obtained by doing such processing. My artist friends are very split on such activity. Some feel it is not a legimate use of the tecnology and some like the creative aspect. I imagine the first cave person to use color in thier cave art met the same mixed reactions.
